Ryan Bertrand

Very happy with this. He can play LCB in back three too, perfect squad addition and home grown too. Need another left back though (Mendy hopefully).

No, but I'm sure they would be interested in Mendy, our first choice... Would we buy Coentrao after landing our targets? No.

Bertrand's a solid choice as a backup/rotation option. I'm beginning to think a lot of people here haven't actually watched him. He's decent, he's versatile and he's home grown.

i think hes a lot better then delph standard. He's been one of the best left backs in the league for me - very underated. madrid wouldn't buy him, but then we arent real madrid.

Khaldoon said we'll make a similar amount of signings as we do every year(not including youth) which is about 5/6? there's not going to be 4 fullbacks coming in
And finally we're just not going to pay £40mil+ for a decent injury prone left back with a bit of potential and then £20mil+ for a "back-up".

Kolarov won't be playing left back next season mate, he was behind Clichy last season, and that takes some doing. We'll sign 2 left backs, because relying on one would be madness.
 
I am actually hoping if Bertrand arrives, we also go balls deep for Mendy. I know if we don't go balls deep for Mendy, the rags or Chelsea will snap him up. We need grade A targets to win trophies, not grade B or C targets.

We cannot afford to pass up any more opportunities.

Always thought he was a decent player but nothing more. Kinda like Clichy was

If we're signing a backup LB I woulda thought Sessegnon would be the better bet.
