Lindelof for £40m (according to Benfica) seems pretty steep
The prices being thrown around for Morata are obscene for his ability. Decent player but £60-70m??? He's a 30-40m at most in this market
Perisic fees seem pretty high too
And I'll laugh my arse off if they sign Eric Dire. But I guess he did make Pogba look good last night so maybe it's genius? :)

They will do what they do best, sign average players on mega wages, paying transfer fees no other club will come close too.
I am questioning what PEG's target is this season. Is it really the title? Are they that delusional?
Surely their target has to be top 4 in the league, they won't get that but will that mean Peggy gets sacked or are they desperate enough to keep him?

I don't know if this applies to European players in Portugal but I think the players cost so much because the clubs don't own 100% of the players so all parties want a piece of the pie
That said, I've just read that Maguire from Hull will cost 20mil and will be on 80k per week. Clubs will be asking why Champions players cost so much

Not sure how good Lindelof is but we paid over the odds for Otamendi and even more over the odds for Mangala. £31m is the norm for a so called decent defender. 60-70 for Morata though, Madrid must be laughing their cocks off. They've took the piss out of the rags many a time now buying their best players on the cheap and selling them their unwanted players for double the price. Keep it up

A lot of rags seem to think that Lindy Hop's nickname of the Iceman at Benfica is because he's cool, calm and collected on the field when in fact it's simply because he's from a Nordic counttry and the Portuguese don't see a lot of snow and ice.

Rick Slick the rather interesting and well spoken Benifica fan said he's pretty average and overhyped because he can ping a pass or free kick. Said he was happy he'd left. Said in big CL games he got rinsed and Ederson saved his blushes a good few time.
Also said Bernardo was the player of his generation in Portugal.

He won't be cool calm and collected when he's got Aguero running at him with Jesus dropping in behind for the short pass and Sane arching his run round the full back to score the 10th in the Derby this year.
