Grenfell Tower block disaster

I think that's just money to cover the immediate aftermath & emergency costs. It works out at over £40k per flat.
It's a costly mistake to be sure.....Many tragic deaths.........The £10m refurb costs...compensation ....demolishing the block ...re housing......loss of trust and faith again

Was cladding with cheaper non fire retardant materials worth this?

Some people are going to be very worried somewhere

Stuff like this winds a lot up

This is how conspiracy theorists work.

One nutter craving attention puts in her two bobs worth of made up shit.

Or is it? :)

Someone will no doubt find out it didn't happen, but of course that will be another cover up, of the original cover up, of the cover up that happened as soon as it was realised a cover up was needed.

There is plenty of real criminality and negligence to go around with this situation without adding in your own made up shit.

Never seen such understandable anger being directed towards authority and those in power and im just watching an interview with the PM on Sky news and she is getting it in spades off the reporter.

They deserve it.....ignored warnings for years

The warnings from the Grenfell residents where they warned of this tragedy are damning and the repercussions from this tragedy will be deep reaching and long for those who have basically ignored and carried on regardless.

It is to the shame of the nation that victims will be sleeping on sports centre floors again tonight.

I almost feel sorry for May. Recent tragedies have exposed her biggest flaws. Could almost count herself unlucky.

Socialist worker activists with plackards and banners turning up will set the relatives and residents cause back which is a shame, locals need to get these parasites out of the way as soon as possible or public support will evaporate

Not to sound crass ... but what is enough ?

5 mill + hidden donations from rich people + the thousands of donations, clothes, food being donated.

We're lucky to live in such a generous society.
One that caused the tragedy in the first place.

These people don't want Father Xmas on the street they want their homes somewhere decent to sleep. They've just lost their friends, families and everything they own

I've just seen May's interview on BBC and she was her usual robotic self. She didn't answer a single question put to her. After the terrible performance during the campaign it is clear she hasn't learned a thing.

I posted on here a few days ago - these family's should not be sleeping in a sports centre and I was angry about that.

She is in the last days of her tenure imo.

She needs to go. Everywhere she goes will eventually be the same with people calling for her head. She is damaged goods. No doubt those in her party are already thinking of the best person to replace her and how they'll give her the boot.

I'm fucking livid she's still in tbh mate. How can these poor families be sleeping in a gym at night. This is Great Britain, and we've shoved a load of families who have lost everything into a fucking gym.
