No thanks on Bonucci. We have signed some exciting young attacking talent (Sane, Bernardo, Sterling, Jesus..etc.). We need to do the same with our defence. All our defenders expect Stones are in their late 20s or early 30s.

I think they opposite...fill the attack with young blood and the defense with proven experience.

In my original post Clichy was an example of not quite being good enough to where the club wants to be. There are many more, that was my point. I'm all for a few of these older, proven top, top, players to go with our top quality younger players. Cheers

After the CL final I reckon Juve will be looking to refresh their squad a bit. I definitely think we could get him if we wanted, but I reckon there will be other Premiership clubs who would like him too

Someone mentioned to me earlier that Chelsea are in for him. I think Conte being there and playing a similar system to Juve could be a big draw for him unless he wants a totally unique experience. Also, if United seemed to actually know what they were doing they'd go after him to play with Bailly (???) if they got rid of Smalling.

Bonucci has been a great player for Juve & will continue to be so, but recently I've been less convinced he would suit City's style nowardays defensively.

Van Dijk would be my choice, mainly for his physical attributes & the likelihood he can learn from Vinny. But I won't be crying if we sign Bonucci (or any decent cb).

Much as I love to back our young players, Denayer played half last season as if he'd been smoking weed in the changing rooms & Tosin, who I am absolutely DELIGHTED has signed a new deal, has had no worthwhile experience of real football & playing alongside the 3 Stooges won't have helped him one bit.

If Pep thinks he's ready, fair enough, but I recon he needs to play a bit of proper football.

If we got all our full back targets and, hypothetically, had £100m or so in the kitty with a choice to spend it on Sanchez & Bonucci or spend it on Mbappe .. as much as I'm a huge Bonucci fan, it would 100% be on Mbappe if up to me. Everything about him just says 'superstar'.

Play Bertrand left back and mendy defensive mid in some games he as all the attributes for that role

Dinho's really the only one. Only because I think Yaya is too good offensively to waste energy defensively and Gundogan is most effective as a CM.

Clichy got there. He was really good for us. Won two titles with us and also won it at Arsenal.

Don't think it'll be possible, but if we could somehow stretch the budget then a CB and DM would be huge for us. Can't help but think we need a proper destroyer, though I'd be tempted to keep Fernando around to do that job if we can't afford to buy one this summer.

He struggled last season, but then so did Zabaleta. He had his time, and was very good. Not a marcelo or dani alves, but still a key player
