The episode lengths have been released by HBO. Seven episodes is the number but the amount of time they cover is equivalent to eight episodes in earlier seasons.

Episode 1: 59 mins
Episode 2: 59 mins
Episode 3: 1 hour 3 mins
Episode 4: 50 mins
Episode 5: 59 mins
Episode 6: 1 hour 10 mins
Episode 7: 1 hour 21 mins
 
Absolutely cannot wait for this season! Just sad to know there's only one more season after it
 
I have never watched a box set in my life. The way you guys go on I think I need to start. Reading this thread I truly think I'm missing something. I have the full Sky package but mainly for the kids and wife's benefit. I watch feck all apart from Sky Sports news. and the general news channels. I have the full movie package and in 11 years I have never watched one. I sky plus a few documentarys and occasionally get time to watch one. I just don't have the time. I might purposely get sacked from my job and watch TV for a month like all you feckers seem to do..

Trust me, you'll soon get hooked and go from watching the first one to watching 2 a night then 3, before you know it you will be saying to yourself "oh go on one more then" for the fifth time in the evening, look at the clock and its 3am.

HaHa, as I honestly sit here watching Sky Sports news, through the night. I need to get a life.
