He has. Watch the Confederations Cup where he is played out wide. Repeatedly dribbles himself into a cul de sac.
Tbf to Sanchez he has had a long season especially especially carrying the Arseholes all season

Direct involvement in 34 of Arsenals 77 goals last season, that will do for meTbf to Sanchez he has had a long season especially especially carrying the Arseholes all season
I agree and it's why I think David Silva maybe the surprise PivotIMO Sanchez is not being brought to replace a central striker.
I think, like Bernardo, he is being brought in to create even more chances and overrun the opposition and have the belief to try try try to break on through resolute defenses.
I think the lack of conversion by Aguero and others is a different problem to solve. Obviously Sanchez will convert more than Sterling or Sané but that's nothing to do with Aguero/Jesus.
It'll be interesting to see where Sanchez would play and how Pep will get even more from Aguero.
He has quality as well. But I remember when he was at Udinese, and then barcelona. If you want one word t sum him up it's explosive. When that goes he has to reinvent his game.Btw, is there anyone here other than Marvin who thinks Sanchez game is based on pace and power? Anyone?

he plays up front now, or drops deep to play a pass because he can't beat his man out wide. Got nothing to do with his ankle. It has also been pointed out more than once he has played the tournament with an injured ankle.
I'm pretty sure the CB will be addressed, it is the 1st day of the window today. Up front, Kelechi will be gone, Bony will be gone, Nolito too, if we get injury to Jesus or Sergio, we are short up front too.he plays up front now, or drops deep to play a pass because he can't beat his man out wide. I know he's quality. But his quality will dip. You don't have to convince me he's a good player. I am seeing City go into the new season without a central defender meanwhile we're bidding for a centre forward when we already have two world class players in that position. I just think we've got our priorities wrong.
I wouldn't ,especially Walker !What just so we can win some transfer war with Arsenal fans? If Sanchez signs for City, then he will replace one of Jesus or Aguero in our starting line up so the improvement is marginal. We're talking squad depth at most and remember he will be 29 next season.
I would rather we complete the deals for Walker and Mendy and bring in a defender. Seems to me that there is actually quite a big difference in the valuations we have of players like Walker and Mendy so I am not as confident as you that we can just buy anyone and everyone
Are we , who is the mystery centre back we are bidding for then.he plays up front now, or drops deep to play a pass because he can't beat his man out wide. Got nothing to do with his ankle.

if the CB is addressed that is 90% of my concern. Sanchez = Aguero so £50m to stand still, and if its cover we want. Keep Kelechi.I'm pretty sure the CB will be addressed, it is the 1st day of the window today. Without a central defender? So we're not counting Vinny, Otamendi or Stones?he plays up front now, or drops deep to play a pass because he can't beat his man out wide. Got nothing to do with his ankle.

Best outcome for City, although it doesn't seem like Pep would agree, is if Alexis signs his mega-contract offer at Arsenal and City sign a player in a position City need to strengthen.
You get the players in who you prioritise. We haven't prioritised a central defender. It doesn't look that way anyway. Whether Alexis marginally improves City I do not care for. It is arguable as to whether he would add to City because you can only play 11. But I am nowhere near as confident as you in Stones and Otamendi. 12 months ago, many fans thought Kompany was finished. Thankfully they were wrong. But I really doubt he will play more than 30 plus games and we really need to strengthen that position.Without a central defender? So we're not counting Vinny, Otamendi or Stones?
Otamendi was this type of signing a couple of years ago, he became available when we (thought we) didn't have a requirement for him, but he's actually gone on to be a fantastic signing. Without him, we would probably have spunked £50m on another young European centre back who might have turned out like Mangala & been on the rejected list by now.
I think the club/Pep probably sees this as an opportunity we shouldn't pass up. It's a relatively low risk move, because if it doesn't go well, we'll get rid of him, but if it does go well, then we've boosted our goalscoring abilities for the next 2/3 years minimum which will undoubtedly improve us.
There really aren't many negatives to this transfer. It won't affect us buying defenders.
By the sounds of it all party's know what's going to happen now esp if arsenal are now close to signing lacazetteArsenal's best and final is £275k a week to both Sanchez and Ozil.
Almost double what Alexis is on.
That's the brief.
It ain't about the money.
City would have already walked away if Sanchez was staying.
As of a couple days ago, City still confident on Alexis.

This is my thoughts on fullbacks too. The lack of links to other options in any of the positions we want gives me confidence things are running smoothly.Arsenal's best and final is £275k a week to both Sanchez and Ozil.
