Signed Jordan Pickford and Davy Klaassen, look likely to sign Sandro Ramirez and Michael Keane. Managed to sell Tom Cleverley for just under £8m and holding out for £100m and no less for Lukaku.

It was looking like a great summer, they looked like closing the gap on United, Liverpool and Arsenal and then all of a sudden it comes out this morning that it seems inevitable they are bringing Rooney back this summer. What a way to shoot yourself in the foot.

Absolute lunacy if true and probably be a loan with the scum paying the majority of his fee! Its like Everton want to make a big statement but don't realise that the only statement its making is the scum are skipping.
 
It's not like you could even say he'd play ok in a different position more fitting a mature head. Or that they could use his leadership and experience to good effect.

He is just a dead weight. They'd be better off promoting a youth prospect if they just want a feel-good fan-appeasing stunt.
 
If Lukaku and Barkley leave,but Keane, Pickford, Klaasen and Rooney come in. So far I'm not quite seeing how this would be strengthening !

With that Keane signing, Everton are currently the league's highest spenders.

ludicrous sums and I don't think they're that much stronger, especially when you take out Lukaku by window's end.

See Everton standing still. If they kept Lukaku and added Sigurdsson and another genuine winger to replace Deulofeu I'd see the improvement.

I'm not aware of that rule in regards to FFP, i'll have to read up on it but I assume there's a reason they kept him as a minority for the time being.

Rumours around wanting Giroud if Lukaku leaves which will be an alright replacement along with Sigurdsson. I think they should go for Dzeko if they can tempt him with a decent wage offer, not sure he would leave Roma, not sure Roma would want him to go and if they did they would probably want at least £30m but he is proven.
