I don't even think you have an offer on the table if I'm honest.

What, a transfer offer to Arsenal or Contract offer to Alexis? I think Contract with the player is sorted and has been since before the Confed. It's the one thing that genuinely bugs me with the Blood-Fams on your forums, they are unwilling to even accept Alexis wants out and believe Wengers word that he's not for sale. I mean how could you ever believe that cretin ever again? Fool you once (Nasri) that's forgivable. Fool you twice (RVP) then shame on you. Fool you three times and you're exhibiting signs of serious mental illness. And please don't start with that deluded "We're in a better position now" because that's just comforting bollocks you are telling yourselves in the face of historical fact. That being, Kronke and co would rather drive him to a rival personally than lose a big transfer fee to save face.

As i say, an agreement between City and Alexis will have been done a while ago. A bid to Arsenal will be made when Txiki thinks it's the right time... I'm in little doubt that the Arse board will accept. Not sure how you can have doubt ever... Wake up dude.

Well yes Wenger said himself we've offered a contract and all reliable media outlets including many of our AST members close to the club are saying its 275-300k a week.

I'm not arguing with you but its pure delusion on your part.

You're inherently ignorant if you think we aren't in a better position now. When Nasri and RVP left we couldn't even offer them the money they'd need to be tempted to stay. Van Persie, our last BIG player to leave, said that he's leaving due to a lack of ambition. That was because he was watching XYZ leave for bigger clubs. Alexis hasn't seen one of our big players move, this is very important. The second factor is us spending 200m over the past two summers in the transfer market (including the current one) ambition. And finally the third factor is wages, we couldn't offer RVP/Nasri anything over 100k a week in those days due to a strict wage structure. Now we can offer Alexis 300k a week.

Its not as cut and dry as you seem to think, if you think that's how it is then fair enough. But you're only fooling yourself, and if he stays with us I can imagine you're the sort to say 'didn't need him anyway, he can rot at Arsenal'

Bitter.

I think the Bitter alone deserves the hammer

Purely out of interest, who do you include in that list?

Sanchez hasn't watched any big players leave because him aside you have none. As you were.

I've said all along we don't need him.

I think your lot will sell him to us though. Which I didn't, at the start of the window.

Didn't come onto here for sly digs, if our squads that bad we wouldn't have finished within 3 points of you last season and above you the season before. As you were.

My question was not a sly dig. In the last two season, outside of Sanchez I would only have taken Cazorla and Bellerin, but I'm interested in hearing your opinion.

I think you could be right. Perhaps we are waiting for the next move to come from Mr Sanchez whereas he is taking his time and perhaps revisiting his options with his agent.

Exactly, we aren't willing to do business with you until Alexis at least pushes for the move. All he's said is he knows what he's going to do, he's on holiday now and it'll probably be after his holiday when we find out.

List for the position of Lord High Executioner.....Edmund Blackadder. List of the top Arsenal players Sanchez hasn't seen leave........ Alexis Sanchez. Yet.

Cazorla
Bellerin
Koscielny
Ozil
Ramsey after his incredible season and euros

In my opinion and to some extent Ox. We haven't sold any of the big players that are important to us and only pushed forward with buying (Cech, Xhaka, Mustafi, Kolasinac, Lacazette and potentially Lemar)

It's not a sly dig? We have underachieved in the last couple of years but it would be accepted worldwide that we have world class players. I wont even bring myself to name them. My point to you was who realistically would Sanchez have watched leave that would of lacked ambition? Ozil on his day is class but gets absolute pelters. You could even argue the contract extension for your manager was the biggest lack of ambition to happen recently.

And even that presupposes our interest in him as Marvins Guardian post suggests another possibility

see post 9186.

Ric seems adamant we have interest but who knows ?

I think anyone would have interest in him while he's only got a year left on his contract, it makes sense. I also believe if you came in with £70m+ we'd sell, I mean why wouldn't we? He's coming up to 29 years old soon and is in the last year of his contract. Probably has 2 years left at the absolute top.

However anything around the £50m mark is a no go. Forcing our hand is important, we'd find it difficult to turn down 70m+.

I personally think the only absolute world class players in your squad are Kompany, KDB and Aguero these days. But that's just my opinion. Probably missing someone out, but your keeper isn't world class yet, nor is B Silva. Jesus will be absolutely world class but isn't just yet.

The word world class gets branded around a lot, I think it should only be there for the select few. Our only world class players are Alexis, Ozil and Koscielny. Ozil is only world class on his day as well.
