Let me get this right atletico Madrid have a transfer ban but can still sign players,although can't play until January if I have it right,now we get even get targets in who don't have to wait till January but can play straight away doesn't make sense but surely something at our end with negotiations isn't right ..
 
There has to be some major movement any day now. One way or another. If we are looking at spending close to 300m or more. With 6-8 players coming in (like the media says). No way are we rushing in that many players in the final weeks of the window.

Read my post again. I said some do not succeed but none have been dickheads or been disruptive.

That can happen.

My real point is people on here can throw money and stupid comments around as much as they like. Its easy as one it's not their job and two thank fuck it is not.

Indeed mate, I fell for the itk made up shit, I didn't listen to the head which was saying we've been hear a thousand times with bullshit signings that never materialise, but you know what I still believe but I still reckon we're struggling,

Common sense would say, selling clubs only need to look at our squad and see how desperate we are for FB's, so are adding extra £££ to the asking price...its a mess we got ourselves into and its going to cost us an extra 5-10mil per FB(going off the Walker reports) to get us out of this mess......costly mistake letting the problem grow the last 2-3years.

You know what mate, reckon your bang on with that, most blues knew last season that we should of upgraded before contracts expired, it isn't a doom and gloom moment, but it's a costly one.
 
Bit worrying it's gone flat.
Bernando and Ederson excellent early signings.
However it looks like now we were totally reliant on Alves to come and now he's turned us down were in a flap. Can't understand why we didn't get the full backs sorted as a priority given the departures of Zabba, Sagna and Clichy and now we're in a crazy situation where we're flying out on pre season with 1 maybe 2 full backs. Surely the idea of pre season is to get the template of your team together before the seaon starts?
The full back areas were a major weaknesses last season and if we're not careful ito could cost us again.
Can't help thinking someone has cocked up here in the hierarchy, get it sorted City.

I agree mate....not doom and gloom but I do feel its a very costly mistake and its showing this summer! All come good in the end!;)

I agree with this. Of course the club wants to pay less than the asking price so as to not get totally stuffed, but we are far from a position of strength re. fullbacks. Balking at 50m for Walker only to pay 47.5m in a months time makes little sense overall. Unfortunately, we're stuck between a rock and a hard place through our own doing.
