Walker, Lukaku and the continued scapegoating of City in the media

The bizarre part of the MailOnline article was that the headline shouted out 54 million pound Kyle Walker whilst the article content reported the fee as 45 million + 5 million in potential add ons. Pretty much every article since has carried the same dubious mathematical equation without any hint of embarrassment or explanation. To be honest, at this point I don't know what his actual transfer fee was.

...... Meanwhile, in the sports department of virtually every newspaper -
"Boss, there's a breaking story detailing how most football journalists are raggy loving liars"
"Great son - we'll edit it a bit and run it under the headline "Aren't United Absolutely Brilliant"

Great read. The only thing I'd disagree with is where it's said that a Utd fee is merely mentioned, a City fee is judged. It's even more biased than that at times - Sky Sports breaking news ticker didn't mention the Lukaku fee, only the length of his contract followed by a Lukaku quote about not being able to turn down Utd and Mourinho etc; Walker was announced 3 days later on the same ticker as a fee in excess of £50m, followed by a piece on the world's most expensive defenders.

It's not gonna change until we get new journalists coming through supporting a wide margin of teams to many involved in the media at the moment who support the rags, until they are taken outside and shot nothing will change for a few years yet..

Tony Pulls just been crying about the market saying WBA can't spend 52m on a RB nothing about being able to spend 90m on a striker tho.

He is such a bitter red and a **** of the highest order, he is always at it in the after match interviews, "look at how much they cost, how can we compete" the fucker.

its all down to fear the journalists over the years have been hand fed by united and fergie and if you did not tow the line your press pass was took away and if your a freelance writer its worst than death if your pass has being took away what have you got to sell to the papers or media sites if you can not report back

i really think its now in manchester city hands we need to use the strong arm and finger pointing to the door and start to ban them its the only way things are going to change we are such a easy target and just let them get away with it and some of the stuff is shocking even the local MUEN are the worst at it you log on the web site and you have to scroll down and down to find a manchester city story after about umpteen scum headlines at the top

i know the media love nothing more than to rub our noses into the mud about the money manchester city spend but take a look around east manchester the local people the community local charities jobs schools housing being built by the money our owners have put into manchester and that has nothing to do with football and man city 1000s of people have been given a new lease of life from the investment by the owners

in the ten years of sheikh mansour he as done more for manchester than united have done for the clubs whole history of being in trafford fu*k me even the trafford centre done more for trafford than united
