if this happened, could pep see him maybe being able to play 2-3 positions ?... Full back(s) and DM maybe, did seem like he lost his way a bit at Madrid being back up to carvajal
 
Don't rate him but there's not much else available so as long as the fee's reasonable it's not too bad. Like Walker in the sense that he's much much better going forward than he is defending. Have to wonder whether he was always on the plan B list or whether this is an opportunistic signing,
 
I think there's room so long as the backup left back is homegrown:

1 - Ederson
2 - Bravo
3 - Vinnie
4 - Otamendi
5 - Danilo (TBC)
6 - Mendy (TBC)
7 - Merlin
8 - Yaya
9 - Gundogan
10 - Kevin
11 - Bernardo
12 - Sane
13 - Aguero
14 - Jesus
15 - Fernandinho
16 - Mystery CB? Kolarov?
17 - Sanchez? Roberts?

1 - Stones
2 - Walker
3 - Bertrand (TBC)
4 - Sterling

Am I missing anyone?

I listened to The La Liga podcast all last season and they read out plenty of comments from Real fans slagging him and Terry Gibson agreed with it all too. Then again Real fans are notoriously hard to please.

U21 - So doesn't need registering in the premier league.
Club trained homegrown U21 who has been at the club more than 2 years since his 15th birthday - So makes the B list for the Champions League, allowed an unlimited amount of B list players.

So doesn't need including in any lists.

Read nothing but negatives about him at Madrid.

Haven't seen much of him play myself though so I'll wait to judge.

Imagine he must've done well at Porto to even get the move to Madrid in the first place.

30 million apparently, though I think his release is lower. Great value. At Porto he and Sandro were considered of similar ability, just he seems to have fallen off, likely as a result of being benched so much and losing confidence. I think he could be a great signing, especially at that price.

Hmm price seems high for a back up. Hopefully get mates rates from Real. Got to give him the benefit of the doubt. Not every player is cut out for Real Madrid. So much pressure from fans booing and expecting the world from you all the time.

Then again we've seen how much some players can struggle after looking so good in the Portuguese league!
 
For what it's worth El Confidencial says he is going to Chelsea.

Di Marzio has been off a lot this window (not necessarily this transfer, but in general, IMO).
