Disastrous way to negotiate....messing about with Medical called off but still wanting player. If I were Mendy, I'd say no thanks. Now to lose Danilo for same reason. I say, forget Sanchez, we're well stocked up front, and get full backs in ffs.

We may as well just not play next season and take relegation now.

Because we would have had a fullback on our books. When we negotiated with Levy we had no fullbacks (other than Kolarov) and had just been gazumped by PSG for Alves. That's not exactly a great negotiating position (for us).

So by signing a left back first we would be in a better negotiating position to sign a right back?

Could start with taking away 90% of the flapping away whilst realising we haven't carried ourselves greatly in this window. Some deals have been unreal but the key area, the area we was awful last year and crying out for reinforcements we are struggling. We caved in fee wise for Walker after Alves ditching us and we need to learn from that. We have chased Mendy for months now and would be really poor to lose him now.

I agree...the whole Mendy thing looks foolish to me...Monaco have no reason to sell, we dont have full back and yet we are playing hard ball...utter foolishness

Just write the damn check and get this done, Mendy is a young player it would be ideal to get him into training a few weeks before the season starts. I don't care how much money we spend just get Pep the players he needs to win, that will pay itself off in the end. Trophies or bust! Well real trophies, Prem or Champions league the rest of them can go to the rags. The rags can have the League Cup and Europa.

unlucky pal, you're about to be chased with pitch forks. You are meant to say " I am not fussed how long our transfers are dragging, I'm not fussed we have one decent full back, if we then lose Mendy we will have a replacement lined up, the season is X amount of days away" etc etc

Do you seriously..and I do mean seriously..think we will start the season..scratch that..Pep Guardiloa will start the season with no f#%king fullbacks?!

I sometimes wonder if some of you are posting on this forum live from a Piccadilly Gardens spice session..

Alternatively Tom, he could just express some concern rather than make out that he knows what the fuck is going on and label it a disaster.
