So by tomorrow night we could have David Silvas heir, Brazil's future number 1, a first choice right back from a team who finished above us, a Real Madrid full back (granted an unwanted one) and Frances first choice left back. All by 21st July.

Not bad going by a guy only in the job because he's Pep's mate.

Well said! Take note people!

I believe this is the first time L'Equipe have run a positive story, from our pov, on this saga. They are briefed by Monaco, unlike our press. If City have been behind the positive spin in UK press, I can't see what we gain from that.

All's well that ends well......maybe.

Do we still have to worry about a referral to FIFA re tapping? How stands Monaco's accusation that we tried to bully them? Was that just a way to get the extra?
I still think softly softly catchee monkey works better.

I was once negotiating to buy an Irish company and was seen talking to their guy in a hotel lobby in Dublin. Splashed on business pages. Deal went down on sentiment of big UK company versus little Irish. Lesson learned, but footy's high profile is different, I guess.

Monaco haven't accussed us or reported anyone,it's the notorious sky sources that say it's us

The press has been boring us all stiff with bull about how the fee for Walker is insane and on its own has ruined football and now they tell us it's forcing the price for Mendy up and up so that too can ruin football. Trouble is the fee they quote for Walker is wrong (too high, believe it or not!) and there is no evidence from either club that any reference to the Walker fee was ever made in the negotiations. But given the choice between the Daily Mail and Txiki, just guess who a convinced Bluemoon flapper will choose to believe! Just pay the f****n' money gives way to Begiritain's faffing costs City millions! Cobblers! Txiki will carry on with the task of negotiating patiently for a good deal - along with "three or four" other deals.

Correct and also if it was our money we would do the same and as the custodian of our owners money our negotiators would be advised to be careful rather than carefree.
