There are hammers and nails in this world .

If you're sensitive avoid the usual City negative baiting by rag agent Simon Stone's have your say on the BBC Danilo news.
In answer to the "City buying more foreigners" post I replied as follows:
"City do their bit for England with Walker, Stones and Sterling playing at the highest level and training with top players not to mention developing England's number1 Joe Hart".

So we all know that this is all about click bait and selling papers (not sure what the BBCs doing though!) but does it really matter. The answer has to be a yes:
1. It damages our marketability and potential sponsors = not fulfilling our potential in market place
2. Players less likely to get recognition from peers and pundits= less incentive to play/sign for us = inflated wages and transfer fees
3. Less likely to be picked for international duty ( pick your nose for United - get picked for England!)
These factors must play a part in players choices. So to those who say they don't care about the media bullshit then you should. It matters.

1. Yet we are always enticing investors and sponsors
2. We don't seem to struggle signing players (bar one Summer in 2012), look at our squad!
3. We've had as many players play for their countries while with us than anyone. One game in 2010 we had six City players on the pitch for England at one point in the game: HART, Glen Johnson, Jagielka, LESCOTT, Ashley Cole, Walcott (ADAM JOHNSON 13), Gerrard, BARRY, MILNER, Defoe (Bent 70), Rooney (WRIGHT-PHILLIPS 79)... and since then we've only had the odd England player and they all seem to play (Hart Stones Sterling)
4. Doesn't stop us gaining new fans
5. Doesn't affect my enjoyment or my judgement of the team or the club
6. The rest of the world has their own media so probably bother with our shite very little

We gave them arguably the best televisual moment of there PL coverage, yet were lambasted by them all the time whilst they swallow the rag medicine at every opportunity.

Yet that advert is a fantastic bit of promotion for the club and prolongs United fans suffering, remembering every day they watch it, when the balance of power changed. Typically not noted by certain quarters on here who are busy moaning about inconsequential things to suit their narrative. Of course if we had a united based video.....

That would only bother anyone who is over-sensitive to that kind of irrelevant rubbish

Anyone know why when we transfer a player it is reported at the lowest figure and we are paying the wages for the next 10 years (Kolarov now reported at £4.5m , was £7m) and when we buy a player the total is including wages , bonuses , add-ons and the national debt of the 3rd world , and is a world record fee ,example Walker at over £100m . They don't appear to do this for ANY other club , no doubt it pleases the core readership/viewing customers Rags,Dippers,Goons,Spuds will be lapping it up. Which is why i think we should smash transfer records everytime we sign a player , don't bother with the Delph's and Nolito's of this world , let have Messi , Ladyboy , Robben etc., warming our bench , give them something to really moan about :)

Not seen this mentioned...

Daily Fail headline today all about Pep being "indulged" with full back signings

12pm Sky Sports news. We've had a big signing from la liga to the prem today but instead of covering that or having that as our top story lets go see whats happening in the womens cricket and then the golf...still no mention.

Anyone who is a bit sensitive and thinks the media matters need to take a leaf out of one of or very own songs

The sooner you realise that what the media says is a total irrelevance then you'll enjoy all this a lot more.

I can't believe, NINE years on, people still have their heads stuck in the same media that annoys them. Take yourselves away from it, you miss out on precisely NOTHING!

Women's cricket? Jesus fucking Christ.

And how is that affecting the club or any of our lives? We can get all the information about the transfer from other means than Sky Sports News. We aren't losing or gaining a single thing as a club or a fanbase whether Sky Sports midday News are all over the transfer or not
