The "unseen danger" clue could be PSG getting Mbappe. No one saw that coming.

I believe that is the narrative of the parisian press at the moment towards PSG. Apparently we have agreed terms with Mbappe, along with the other clubs involved and the choice is now with Mbappe to decide.

The few things i believe we have in our favour,after reading countless reports, are he would not be in effect in anyone's shadow. He has former monaco team mates who have asked him to come and join them at City and of course playing for Pep in an attacking footballing team.

I have also read that Monaco would not want to sell to PSG.

Monaco make no bones about the fact that they make their money by buying then developing talented footballers. Last season was a big bonus for them and I doubt they expect to be at the same level this year so are they really not wanting to sell to PSG for football reasons I think that is a sop to their fans.

Agree, but the latest story is that PSG themselves don't want to buy him after acquiring Neymar. They aren't invulnerable to FFP after all.
