We are talking about building a team good enough to win the champions league.

If PSG sign Mbappe, they are dining at the top table with the Real's and Barca's.
 
Di Marzio thinks PSG are in for him. I don't understand what they are up to, and what players like Neymar and Mbappe are thinking. Do they not realise what the risks are?

How can they have any complaints? PSG knew the rules. Their ire should and would be directed at PSG who appear to be on a war path with UEFA.
 
If they get Mbappe, you can bet your bottom dollar we will miss out on Sanchez as well.

They will build their very own MSN. Mbappe, Sanchez and Neymar. They don't give two fucks about FFP and why should they?

Don't be dramatic,have you looked at our team recently? we got to the semi final with an old team so we can do it with our new one

Mr Spurs? wouldn't mind Alderweireld if anyone from Spurs. In todays market im not even sure what Kane would be priced at. Crazy money

Stand in front of Levy counting out £150m in fivers whilst he's got a mounting bill for a stadium and a manager complaining about signings and I reckon even he'd twitch.

Our team is wonderful no doubt about it, but Mbappe is the player Pep has been craving for and rightly so.

The reason I am so bothered about Mbappe is because all summer I have thought he was Madrid bound and I can completely understand why he would go there, but if PSG snatch him from under everyones noses it really is a missed opportunity. They aren't Real Madrid, they have money and Paris is a very nice city, but the league is not competitive and compared to the premier league it is poor.

City have the opportunity to blow the rest of the premier league away by that one signing and to massively enhance the club globally. Mbappe is the new kid on the block everybody is completely obsessed about, bringing him to City would make the whole world stand up and take note. Its our time to be the the dominant team in the market now, we have let PSG have their fun with the signing of Neymar, it is our time to put a stamp on the market.

PSG will defeat FFP. How can Uefa really kick them out of the champions league with players with the global stature of Neymar? Isn't going to happen. Worst they will get is a fine and maybe a one window ban. I have said all along City should have stuck 2 fingers up at FFP and bought whoever they wanted to. Was always going to go to pot at some stage when challenged.

What if he wants to go to PSG irrespective of what we offer? Is that our fault. It's no reflection on the club - he will have turned down every top club m!!
 
Shame to miss out on this kid if Castles is correct.

Wish it was us sticking two fingers up to UEFA.

They screwed us and we took it politely and have complied and missed out on players because of it.
 
It's quite simple, if clubs want to spend what they want/afford, should just slap a luxury tax a bit like stamp duty, with the fund distributed through grass roots?

Say for every £20m a club spends, a further £5m is levied in luxury tax.

For the record, the owners of Paris have so much money, they can do the Mbappe deal in the blink of an eye.

The fact they are leaking how much they are prepared to pay suggests they aren't close and trying to scare off City and Madrid.
