Kind of baffling that you hear reports about Guardiola really liking the kid and thinking he'd be a great signing but you get the sense based on reports that we aren't prepared to pay what it takes. I could be way off base but I feel like with deals like this you can't really low ball offers when there's competition afoot.

We would be ripped to shreads if we spent this much on one player, It will be interesting to see how UEFA respond to this with regard to FFP though. I don't have any problem with PSG spending the money and good luck to them but you can see a charge on it's way.

Really thought we'd pull this off and completely blow the Premier League out of the water with this signing. Sanchez isn't a bad option if we get him but this kid long term is on another level. UEFA couldn't sanction PSG until they actually fail FFP and that can't happen until after they release their accounts with these deals included. So they'll get at least this season and maybe the next before UEFA can do anything I guess. But if Nike come along and give them £100M a season for their shirt deal, that should take care of the amortisation. Then they just need another sponsor to cover a good chunk of their wages.

Is it just me who doesn't think PSG are all that? This window is kind of reminiscent of Perez's first Galactico era at Real. Lots of expensive, marketable players who all play in the same position on the pitch. Cavani got 35 goals last season - is he now just a bench warmer because he doesn't sell as many shirts as the others?
