No mate I`ll be having my afternoon nap,as all us old farts need one to keep going into the night on this forum.Its nothing personal and I never take offence with the shit thats thrown my way,as I probably deserve it.Have to have broad shoulders,which matches my Guinness Gut.
Glad you`re of the same cloth,even though we disagree on certain matters.
However you`ll probably be surprised ref my comments on the article ref Sterling suing the Sun is it.I agree totally with him,but this has been a continued vendetta against the lad and hopefully it now stops the true members of the gutter press.See, I said it "gutter press".Some shit gets thrown about, but I`m talking about the people who see everything in a negative light,when theres nothing actually there that would upset most people.

Journalism has been dead for years, blame the slow decay of western society with the emphasis being placed on chasing money instead of education/information.

I think he said that he did once previously, and got the piece removed.
Difficult to know if suing would help.

Good point but I'm beginning to wonder if our owners are happy to use us as a sort of lightning rod to deflect any unwanted attention away from them. Perhaps there's a tacit agreement that City is fair game but Abu Dhabi and any individual associated with it isn't.

I gotta perma ban mate, for dissing our ownership creds, had to resurrect myself...but no matter they haven't twigged it....hang o.
 
Some 'don't give a toss merchants' are missing the point here. If they don't think media negativity affects our player recruitment that is. Sign for City - get a load of abuse in the media, get heckled at matches - NEVER get player or manager of year, NEVER get in team of the year etc etc. Always get negative coverage of your England performance even when playing well. Etc etc.
If you really don't think any of that matters then you are on the Rags side.
