The rag link aside. He is a decent defender and let's be honest.....we have really good/potentially great defenders in Stones, Kompany and Otamendi.
We can hardly expect a world class defender without selling at least 1 of them. CB is not a position you rotate a lot.

If/When we next time want to sign a world class CB....it will have to be a Kompany/Otamendi replacement.

Mangala is miles better. If he came in, assuming players that didn't travel to Girona have no future and he replaces Mangala, that leaves us with 2 foreign spots to fill. I don't see us bringing in another 3 players and this transfer would only make any kind of sense if that were the case.
