Pep still needs be all things to all people at this stage.

He won't be updating his present players what could be coming in, so more trying to keep sweet those who are nervously worried about losing their places.

Yes Chile play on the 31st of August (Thursday) but players must report to training on Monday or Tuesday at the latest. Arsenal play Liverpool on Sunday and travel there on Saturday I believe. No way Sanchez flies to Chile which is a long trip after Sunday and then goes back to England and again to Chile, it's not going to happen. He will sort his future out before leaving for Chile.

I imagine we will know by Friday or Saturday morning at the latest if he will join or not:

Well, the same guy who told me we had Mendys agent in Manchester 3/4 weeks prior to his official signing, is convinced it's an open subject of discussion about the place
Look at it this way, we dont have long to wait. The market is shut next week and there will be a bombshell one way or another, there is no chance this just limps towards the deadline and he sits quietly as it happens

For me and what I've been told, this is much more advanced in the background than it may seem... think of that one way glass in the new tunnel..

Sanchez is a good player, but 70m for a chap who is 29 in four months time. He's not going to get any better in the next few years. It'd be better off spending that sort of money on a 23 year old like Draxler who has a good ten years left in him.
