Alexis Sanchez

Sanchez is a top player, and it would be great to have him play at City, but to say he is the answer in front of goal is taking a leap. I've seen him miss his fair share of easy chances, just like any other goal scorer.

A few weeks back a lot on here were saying young Gabriel would make us more clinical. Now many are saying he needs to be benched and earn his spot back. What if Sanchez comes in and misses chances for us, do we give up on him and look to buy someone else?

The only ones who can make us more clinical, whether Sanchez (or Mbappe or whoever) comes or not, are the players already here.

It's not just the strikers. This problem runs through the entire team. The players are obviously more than aware of it and it seems to have gotten to the point where they are trying too hard to make too sure of things and coming up with nothing.

Starting to think the coaches and players and we as fans need to stop making such a big deal about it, relax a bit more and let things come naturally. We have the players there to do it. We know it. We've seen them do it. They are human. We need to support them.

Seen all the big strikers from all the big teams miss good chances so far this season and by and large they have been forgiven (even when their team has lost)... except ours.

As I said, would love Sanchez to be our player, but to help us create, not as the answer to our goal scoring issues. That would be unfair on him (as he can't do it on his own) and unfair on the players we already have (who we know can do the business).
I like your post and some good points but for all the money spent, we don't have many players who can consistently shoot well.

Even probably our 2 best shooters, Sergio and KDB are more miss than hit, at the moment. As a team we seem to lack self belief when shooting.

Sanchez is generally more clinical, over brimming with self confidence, and if he was to score the first the other goals would likely come easier.

Yaya is another with great shooting ability, but he seems out of favour at the moment, and is probably lacking match sharpness.

Apparently Richard Keys says Sanchez is joining City. Not moaning about the transfer here, but why do papers give that sexist little turd any coverage? What the fuck does he know? Since he got sacked, he's done every thing possible to stay relevant and get attention. Sorry, just cannot stand the twat.

He's that ITK he knew Pep was coming to City before Pep did. Still a **** though.

Judging a strike partnership after 2 games ... bluemoon you never let me down
It's not 2 games. We struggled for goals last season. Aguero is not the same player but it will be a mistake to replace him with a player who is ageing. Needs a young replacement. I was hoping he still had a season in him. Not sure now.

I can count on 1 hand the number of games jesus and aguero played together last season. We are playing a 352 with no decent dm and no lwb we are a different animal with a naturally left footed wing back and someone to keep the ball ticking from defence to midfield we need to judge this form and strike partnership with a fit mendy and gund. Yes aguero had a couple of chances to pull the trigger last night but nothing you would have put your mortgage on him finishing. Regardless the discussion is around how shit aguero and jesus are together give it time

On what basis would Aguero miss out? GJ has looked distinctively average so far this season, spends more time on his arse waving his arms about, far from the finished article.

Just feel like Aguero works better on his own rather than a 2 just my opinion hence why I asked!

His young successor is already there Jesus......but Aguero will still bag his quota of 25 goals this season. Write him off at your peril!

Interesting that John Cross in the mirror says Wenger is standing firm, they won''t sell for less than £70m. Not that they won't sell but they won't sell for less than £70m. This is very much on methinks

Fuck it. Let's pay 65mil+5mil addons if that's what it takes. We need another goal scorer, I know that for certain. If we win the league 2 times in the next 3 years, I doubt anybody would give a shit about the transfer fee.

Yeah arsenal mouth piece Cross trying to justify the sale, this ones definitely on !

Would be happy for City to pay £80m tbh. Still less than Pogba and Lukaku and he is world class. The market is fucked. Pay what it takes.

Of course it's on. If we'd have gone in and offered the greedy twat 70mill straight away the price would have gone up to 90mill. We're just doing the dance and at the end of it Sanchez will be here. I hope.
