Wasn't that from 25 starts, not too shabby. Not blaming anybody for anything. Look at his goals per game ratio. Tells you everything you need to know. He's in steady decline.
BTW he scored 20 in the prem.

Every clearance? the vast majority never reached that distance the disappeared out of play.I know, and I agree completely. This league is stuffed to the gills with quick powerful opposition forwards, and any old hoof downfield has a better than average chance of finding them. We were up against a 19 year old kid on Monday with half a dozen starts to his name, yet he was able to beat our back 3 to every clearance and find himself near the corner of our 18 yard box time and time again. It's part of the reason we won't win anything under Pep unless he has a serious rethink.....which he won't. We are going to face 38 parked bus, counterattacking opponents this season, so something's got to give
Last season Aguero's conversion rate was down to 19.6% from 25.8% the preceding season.
Sanchez's conversion rate last season was 28.2%, ironically, the same as Messi's.

Sane gave the ball away carelessly in a dangerous position, Silva stopped tracking the run when the appeals for offside were made, Vinnie got pulled into the challenge by the young lad and ended up on his arse, Ota was lying a couple of feet too deep playing the young lad onside. It was a collective failure. Rooney took the chAnce well and I don't think Eddy was at all to blame.
Better yet, let's talk about Sanchez in this thread.ffs if we are talking about the decline of Aguero then lets consider the total failure of those around him to score or rather not to score goals
lol. Thanks for your devastating insight.Probably only just started following the club with them comments

Not always.FFS, why is there always someone who takes everything absolutely literally....
You're absolutely correct, our forward players as a whole haven't covered themselves in glory but let's not use that to get away from the fact that his conversion rate has declined.ffs if we are talking about the decline of Aguero then lets consider the total failure of those around him to score or rather not to score goals
+1.Kind of irrelevant. Bravo suffered from some shite defending putting him in exposed positions last season, but he's the one who's ultimately responsible for making saves.
Agüero is our best paid player and a club hero because he sticks the ball in the net. It's his job, it's what he's in the team to do, and if the only reply is "yeah but he midfielders around him didn't score either" is a serious reply then we have a massive problem.
Can you take that to the sergio thread pleaseYou're absolutely correct, our forward players as a whole haven't covered themselves in glory but let's not use that to get away from the fact that his conversion rate has declined.
We need another quality striker that can be eased in( as well as Jesus) that we can gradually ease in and replace Aguero with. If his decline turns out to be terminal we could be in trouble, if we're not already there. So what alternative do you suggest? I am curious to know, not a dig at you.
