There's no evidence that Aguero is getting worse, he's just not in a brilliant run of form and is having to adapt his game to what Pep wants. How many goals has he scored for us again? How many in his last "poor" season?

Lets stick to the point mate. You said that we struggled to break team downs not create chances. That's PATENTLY not true. We created a pornographic number of chances last season. Sadly we missed too many of them and this season has started the same way. Ergo we need a forward who can finish consistently.

I know i will be slaughtered but to look at our main challengers who happen to be the rags imo, as it stands they have the capacity to score more than us Lukaku was obscene at the price but i dont like saying it but he is the type that would guarantee us the goals required plus the height as well

I havent deviated from any point. We created a shit load of half chances and a smaller number of golden opportunities. Lots of our chances are against backs to the wall teams with a box packed full of defenders.

But yes, we created good chances too and we missed too many of them.

What makes you think a player from another club will miraculously not be afflicted by what is afflicting our existing top class players? Sanchez will come here (probably) and perform just like Aguero or Jesus.

I don't mind him coming - he gives us a third option up front and a stronger squad. But he's no better than Aguero. End of, as far as I am concerned. YMMV.

Good, i'm glad we've cleared that up as you previously stated somewhat disingenuously that we struggled to create chances and our finishing wasn't the issue.

We do struggle to break teams down and we struggle understandably to create clear cut chances against well martialed defenses and parked buses.

Glad to have cleared that up again. It's not a difficult concept.

Fans from other clubs are no football authorities in any way and neither are City fans, so why you bring them in discussion all the time? Yes, I said we spent lot of money and it's not something to be proud of but our squad was awful until this summer. We had good first team though even in it were few midtable players last 2 seasons. But I guess bringing the kids is the point you shockingly :D want to introduce - yeah, that would surely help our squad quality. Not.

Because the only people who think we 'need' Sanchez, are City fans.

And no, that isn't the point I was making. The point I was making is that our squad is good enough to challenge for all titles, if the manager is any good & was good enough to challenge if the previous manager was any good.

He could have used kids to help, this manager doesn't need to.

No mate. We struggle to finish the chances we create. I'm not sure why you're so desperate to play a tedious semantic game when the facts are clear. Our chance conversation rate is appalling. That's not a difficult concept.

Funny you say that as the rags only managed 54 goals last year (we scored 80) and have added precisely no additional goals to the team (at the moment) other than replacing Zlatan with Lukaku!!

You're basing that on two p*ss easy games against West Ham (H) and a dire Swansea team without two of their best players and goal threats from last season.

We create an inordinate amoiunt of chances but are profligate at taking them and in some games that will cost us. No one doubts we need to improve our conversion and the rags may be more clinical but they create vastly less chances than we do.

Some fans really do swallow the rag fed media machine.

He is no better than Aguero but that's not the point. Alexis isn't afraid to shoot from distance and he's quite competent at it too, not something that can be said for many of our attacking players bar DeBruyne.

He has more tenacity than any of our current attacking players, tenacity that we'd haven't had up front since Tevez, and Bellamy before him, that's another added string to our bow if we sign him.

We fuck up more easy final balls which could create tap ins, as we miss chances imo.

Sanchez might end up being more important in that respect than goalscoring, where there is no guarantee he will improve on what we have.

Don't know if this has been posted but saw this on city's Reddit page:

Probably nonesense

A bit like this thread moving forward 5 pages and it's all about Augero, nothing about this deal being any closer than it already was several weeks ago,I'm sure in peps book it states his job is too get the team too the final third, then it's up to the forwards too finish it off which were not doing, eventually it will all click into place regardless if Sanchez comes our not
