Ah but for a classic WUM to work it needs to sound believable, if it sounds believable it could be because it's true, or it could be completely made up and a WUM. To be fair in the main it is usually a WUM, but every so often it can turn out to be real. It does seem to tie up with what SWP'S back has been posting tonight.

Agreed even though I think he's not good enough if he signed he's wearing the blue shirt at the end of the day we'd have no choice but to back the lad I'd rather give tosin a shot and make him a better player though IMO.

I don't know how ANYONE on here can criticise the handling of the transfer, when none of us know exactly what has been happening.
 
Agree completely mate,the thing that's bugging me is pep is said to like academy players but never thinks to as you say include them,I mean actual game time,and the amount of times there too inexperienced comes up pisses me off,you gain experience by being thrown in simples
 
Don't shoot the messenger but I've just had a bit of interesting news re Sanchez.
I've been at my lads training tonight and one of the dad's who I'm pally with runs a maintenance and security firm in alderley edge and looks after the footballers houses. By that I mean he does repairs in the properties, electrical stuff, thermostat for pool temperatures, etc .....
He told me a piss funny story about lingard and his swimming pool , to cut a long story short lingard thought the temp of the swimming pool took 10mins to heat up and not 24hrs and his exact words to my mate was "isn't it just like turning a kettle on" ....fuckin piss funny.
Anyway my mate told me about lindelof and ederson coming to Manchester before they hit the headlines so he's got a bit of previous.
Tonight he just said Sanchez moving up soon. That's all he said. I pressed him a bit more and he said that's all he's heard.
Take it as you will.
I've not posted on here for a long long time but thought this was too good to not share.
Fingers crossed.

TBF Sanchez probably has been scouting Manchester for some time now, it's not his approval we need.

I think this sounds believable, do you not?

For me classic WUM signs are:

Adds no new information
Timed to coincide with something that has a good chance of happening based on what's already out there e.g. Sanchez rumours.
Third degree source e.g. 'friend of a friend'
Repeat posts about the same thing
Claims never to have known anything before but this time it's a solid source
New poster or recent joiner

You're flying off the handle a bit mate. I'm just saying he doesn't sound very reliable to me, don't think it's very controversial. Are you saying it's ok to jump to the conclusion that he's reliable but not that he's unreliable?

though I do think under regular circumstances if it were to happen the club would prefer to unveil their (probable) record signing rather than announcing while he's in Chile. Will be an interesting week.
