Sly Sports News running a start of the programme full feature on big nose and his return to United, to the tune of 'Return of the Mac', by Marc Morrison.

It really was toe curling stuff from Sly Sports News, even by their constant low standards. Something you would have expected to see on MUTV, not on an 'impartial'(arf!) nationwide TV sports news programme.

And the main CL draw story is......

The Grauniad's analysis of the teams in the Champions League groups makes for an interesting comparison between us and the Rags:

Them - José Mourinho will be pleased with the draw, no doubt. United have bought wisely in the summer – Romelu Lukaku has added goals and will be joined by Zlatan Ibrahimovic if they get through the group – and Nemanja Matic looks an inspired piece of business to strengthen the midfield.

Us - There can be no excuses for Pep Guardiola this season. He has spent more than £220m this summer with an astonishing £128.5m on full-backs. They should qualify comfortably but already, this season, Everton have exposed weaknesses at the back.

The bias couldn't be clearer, but still we have appeasers on here who won't accept it!
Head, bury, sand.....what bias? I've got no idea what you're going on about.

That's a good article, thanks for posting. However I feel the article could also have mentioned that a possible reason for the anti Pep "agenda" is that he chose the wrong club.
Too true, if he'd chosen any of the Sly 4 he'd have been elevated to more than God like status...he chose City and look how they treat him. Same with the glory hunting hordes around the globe

Similar reporting on 5 live. Of course we were the last of the English clubs to be mentioned re the CL draw, I could cope with that, but then to have the commentary added that Pep simply has to win the competition having spent half a billion pounds on the defence makes me spit.

Let me guess - Jamie Jackson?

Everyone keeps thinking this shit will change in time but it's nearly a decade now and it's getting worse. The Arse and the Dippers were constantly celebrated for challenging for 4th not so long ago, Sly/super Sunday was a gigantic day that always hyped up the 3rd and 4th placed teams.
City ruined their little mini league and cast aside their favourite forever outsiders Tottingham and Neverton and for that we will never be forgiven.
We also lure world class players without batting an eyelid and have recently lured the most sought after manager in the world. You only have to read the comments sections to see how much spite there is for him because he chose us.
They ridicule the way we play but if he'd chosen one of the other clubs he'd have had them playing the same way and been lauded for sticking to his guns and trying to play beautiful football.
There's also a very different way these tits in the media clickbait industry write about us today, they don't even try to hide it whereas at first their admiration and respect for Pep confused them enough to accept grudgingly he had arrived in England but not to the script they expected. There seems to be not one sporting editor trying to hold them back or demanding their pages be free of the almost daily casual snidey snippets.
It's not going away and will get worse for a long time before it gets any better, the more players we sign, the more positive football we try and play, every champions league campaign ...they hate us and have been given free license , there's no press neutrality anymore and when it comes to city there won't be for a very long time ahead

Go to the City section and you'll see a similar article on our draw. I understand your frustration though as I prefer to scroll down the main website and having to see all the rag news is not pleasant.
It's simply click bait, there are 659 million of them after all, not all in Manchester though ;)

Or local MUEN Rag at it again!

Am I f*** going to link the story.

The headline is enough for you to work it out.

Why are Manchester United victimised by the FA but Pep Guardiola gets let-off?
Man Utd news features a look at the double-standards from the FA regarding Jose Mourinho and Man City manager Pep Guardiola.

Luckhurst is an utter twunt, he's fell lucky writing social media pro rag shite for a few years and has been elevated to 'journalist' with his MUEn columns, he's nothing more than a fan deliberately writing click bait pro rag anti City. He's also despised by some decent Rags I know. If it help he's on twitter and is very sensitive to getting pulled up on his shite writing

Unfortunately the media in this country, whether TV or the papers are only interseted in massaging the ego's of the the supposedly "Big Four" who now for various reasons ain't quite so big.

Arsenal seem content on balancing the books and aiming four fourth, whilst Liverpool flatter to under the saviour that is Jurgen Klopp.

Then there's the shower of shit from Stretford even though they have been mediocre since Baconface retired they still get top billing. Even if they found themselves playing in the second division that dabbing knob Pogba would still be plastered all over Sky and BT Sport billboards and TV adverts just to keep the brain dead masses interested in their product.

The truth is that no club is better run, better equipped and better placed than we are to succeed and the harsh truth is that jealousy has turned to hatred for our club. It chokes the ex-pro's who played for the likes of the scum and red dippers to accept what's before them and along with the media conspiracy they will try anything and everything to sling mud at us.

In time things will change, but until then we will have to put up green eyed cretins treating Benjamin Mendy being like Fred West cos he tweeted "Bullet Header" or people showing pictures from inside the ground an hour before kick under the heading Emptyhad, which the Red Tops are stupid enough to carry as articles highlighting them.

I know I've gone on a bit and I do apologise, but I'd just like to say to say to Robbie Savage, the younger uglier chuckle brother, Danny Higginbottom, the panel of imbeciles on Soccer Saturday and of course Martin Tyler if you've nothing positive or balanced to say about our great club, just keep it to yourselves or "Fuck Off"
Good post.

Why wait for them to "fuck off " why don't we fuck them off? One by one ban them or their organisation. They'll get the message soon enough. I dont want want pandering I just want a balanced view of us. More importantly tell the bloody truth. Better still own up you are hurting, that would be fun :)

I think the club are just as sick of the constant sniping as we are and probably do want to f**k them off. Unfortunately they
know we would then most definitely become Manchester (Anti Christ) City and the hatred and spouted bile would get even worse. The best and only way we can deal with these clowns is to win as many trophies as possible and whilst doing so producing attractive football that is so pleasing on the eye that any of the media puppets negativity would sugget they were plain stupid.

You`re becoming obsessed.

You're right Oakie, it is becoming an obsession with Sly Sports News.

*As Bournemouth prepare to host Manchester City on Saturday, live on Sky Sports, we take a look at the stark contrast in transfer money spent by the Premier League sides…

With Pep Guardiola aiming to better the third-place finish his side managed during his first season at the helm, Manchester City have spent more money during this summer's transfer window than Bournemouth have in their 118-year history*

I admit I could be wrong, but if it was United playing Bournemouth instead of City, do you honestly think their spending under Jose would have been used in the report? We all know the answer to that, don't we. No!

PS.

I'm obsessed with you as well. ;-)

Great post, the good thing is you have sussed them and can see them for what they are, Rag obsessed click hunters, it pays the bills, keeps them employed and employable.

Once you know this, their words have zero power, zero influence and you can get on with supporting our great club safe in the knowledge that these b*stards are hurting and you're taking their power away from them.

These twats like nothing more than believing their words have influence, can shape the collective narrative and influence what fans think and believe. Unfortunately, for many of the football masses they take this info they read as fact without taking the time to work things out for themselves.

Once you see through their agenda their words are just tomorrow's chip paper.

City should just ban one or two of the worst offenders and "have a word" with the others. Divide and rule generally works.
Here's the problem with banning people. I said earlier in the thread that I had a theory that Abu Dhabi use City as a lightning rod. In fact the only time legal action has been publicly taken is when one of the papers (The Sun?) published a false story that Sheikh Mansour had given each player an expensive watch. In the grand scheme of things that's not the worst thing that's been written about us but we took legal action. The message was clear; keep the Sheikh out of it or face the consequences.

So if we start banning people then the risk is that journalists equate that with written and unwritten media restrictions in Abu Dhabi. That's the last thing our owners want I'd imagine.

My sentiments entirely, although I have noticed another way of 'presenting' MCFC news and that is my writing absolutely nothing. Compare the number of pieces of Rag puffery adorning the dailies, particularly when there's a couple of days without any games and the daily offering of some of the papers. Today the DT has column inches on England, Watford, CFC, CL where we have a mention in paragraph seventeen out of eighteen, MANUre and BigNose's return, nigh on a full page on Huddersfield, and finally a report on the Hajduk Split v EFC game. We get the mention 'cos of the CL.

Personally, I would prefer this arrangement and we fuck the whole RDAHMeedya off and treat them like the parasites and pariahs they are. Our press office responds to every request for info, interviews and the like with a show similar to the English archers at Agincourt. The days of high end hospitality come to an end. We allow anyone in whom we are contractually obliged to let in, and if we don't like the cut of some of their jibs we ask for a junior replacement, and marginalise those who spew out the trash we've had written since 2008 - but there's no hospitality. I'd start with the slug Green, if he's still about. "Manchester City? Champions League? Don't make me laugh!" Well I hope yer laughed yer cock off for the last seven years!
