It's Quiet - a new dawn

my guess for JFE is £26mil + £4 in Add-ons and will forever be known as one of the most "what the fuck were they thinking" trasnfers in recent years

Given what I can only assume is a massively unexpected sale (price wise) of Mangala and add to that Bony's sale, I wish we could add that to the JFE money and push for VVD.

So Alexis under way as expected.
Not sure about Evans. Or some other surprise CB?
Delph to stay and no one cares.
Still 1 foreign spot free!.....

Just wow.

I would have loved that surprise CB to be Howedes, but that's not a possibility. There really isn't anyone I can think of as a mystery CB unless the selling club as been dead quiet to not raise any suspicions over selling a top squad member. I actually am happy to see Delph stay. I think he can do well to rotate with Fernandinho and Yaya and add some bite to the midfield.

But if he steps up to head home a corner to win a trophy or makes a last minute tackle to get an important three points, then we'll all be thinking it was a sage decision.

Well, in that case I think we could find it in our heart to accept him as one of our own hahah

I don't see an issue with them getting Lemar he has nothing to do atm, just ended his tour at Solihull last weekend.

Howedes is always working hard and reliable but not a Pep player for build up play.
Delph surely is a good lad but nowhere near the level City is sailing to.

What about Zinchenko now and Napoli?

Edit: Evans is left footed, Howedes isn't. Important factor!

We need to get right behind JFE if he and the others all sign up.

Debut matches just a polite, muted sign of appreciation for the mercenaries like Sanchez and Messi, then a rapturous cacophony of hearty "hurrah"s for JFE - Anyone thought of a song yet?
