He will have to if the need arises for the back up and may be he will improve and changes pep opinion of him.
Or he'll start someone else in defense as an emergency measure, such as one of the fullbacks or Fernandinho or Yaya. Granted, he might select Mangala, but Pep seems to remain constant if he's made up his mind on a player.

I think there's more chance of him picking David Silva at centre back. Pep didnt rate him before today, I just dont think he's going to pick a player who we've tried to move on and has refused to play ball. He might get on the bench at WBA.

I doubt if he fancies yaya in defense given his age and dino already occupies a very imp position in midfield where we don't have many options. We have delph and yaya but they cant do what dino does

We,ll have to wait and see, but none the less we are better of with mangala than investing 30m on 29 year old JFE and since vvd is staying put at saints, may be it will allow us the opportunity to have a crack at him next summer

If Sanchez isn't coming, we must actually have the money for JFE & a space in the squad.

Just putting it out there.
To be honest, Nev, I think his agent, or somebody close might have advised him not to come. In all seriousness I'm certain he would have really struggled to cope in the systems Pep favours, and (as a consequence of his undisguised rag affiliations) would've suffered more than your average amount of dogs abuse, in the ground, if & when these inevitable mistakes occured.

Just waiting to make sure this deal isn't happening before having a celebratory drink! (Touch wood.)

The worry for me is that Pep and City rated him and would have been happy to pay £30m.
Unblievable to us mere fans but what do we know, fuck all apparently.
