England pundits stretching for a way to blame a blue. Media at it every day. It obviously feels safe for them to do this which is a pathetic state of affairs and one which the club's inaction has allowed to develop.

From todays beeb football page

Raheem Sterling is "ballsy" and will bounce back from recent struggles, says England manager Gareth Southgate.

The 22-year-old winger was replaced at half-time during England's 4-0 victory over Malta on Friday.

He was sent off after scoring the winner for Manchester City at Bournemouth last week and linked with a swap deal for Arsenal's Alexis Sanchez.

Who fucking 'linked' him with this swap deal ? The fucking scum papers is who and yet now it seems to be hard, accurate news.

A proper writer (if any exist) would simple state that 1) He was replaced but why was he put out of position on the left in the first place. Clueless manager is why. We all saw how much better he looked on the right last night in his 10 minute cameo (as someone else stated, probably put on incase they equalized so then they have someone to blame) 2) The sending off was a complete joke decision and so bad (after Walkers red also) that there is simply an agenda and 3) Its only the fiction papers come up with that linked him with a swap, the club said cash only. The same papers that gave space to a character assassination because he left the grievers for us

Thought it was absurd they blamed Kyle Walker after Rashford gave the ball away trying to nutmeg someone on his own 18 yard line.

The BBC's sports editor is banned from the Etihad, fat lot of good that action did us as they arguably treat us worse than any other.

Is that Dan Roan?
What did he do and when?

It is. 2012 he did an interview with Vieira, misrepresented what Vieira said, the club requested a retraction, none was forthcoming so the club banned him.

Two years later the Beeb promoted him to Sports Editor.

I remember something of that now, thanks.
Didn't realise he was still banned.

It's CIES rubbish, a bunch of nerds who write algorithms and then attempt to claim insight from what it spits out. The BBC for some reason have taken to publishing it regularly.

Ignore it.
