We chose not to strengthen the central defence and prioritised other areas. Rightly or wrongly.

The minute we didn't sign a CB at the end of the transfer window this was always going to happen. Stones and Otamendi together just doesn't work. Just hope vinny not out for long because without him we are goosed.

I am not sure what to make of this but Jamie Jackson reckons that Guardiola wanted VVD at the start of the season but Soriano and Txiki thought he was too expensive?

He should know what he is talking about as he is the Manchester correspondent of the Guardian even if he does hate City. Should we believe him on this?

There's an egotistic arrogance with Kompany where playing for Belgium is concerned. It's the reason why he fell out with both Pellegrini and Mancini.

Kompany must know his time as a footballer is drawing to a close, but he's obviously refusing to give up on international glory to help extend his club football. We need to sign his replacement ASAP. I've said for a while we should be in balls deep for VVD.

Hope not,as he would have been colossal in our defence..too expensive ffs £70 mill going off recent transfers is fuck all really and if it is true and we miss out on the league due to defensive frailties then we know who should be held accountable..
 
Three first team CB's when playing in four competitions, if only we were as savvy on the pitch as off. Piss poor planning but at least we don't go three at the back.
