His recent comments have pretty much confirmed that he's getting what he can out of playing while he can - can't ever see Vinny being one of those players who canters thru games or has regular rests. All or nothing I suspect - think he'd rather have a blaze of glory for a year than string it out

Gambling on Vinny could cost us dearly this season-in fact Peps whole future at City could well hinge on our lack of CB cover.
It's rank bad management, we throw money around like confetti for midfielders and attackers yet find ourselves a fullback and a CB short going into Peps most important season.
The sad thing is it doesn't really come as a surprise.

Again, piss poor planning this summer will cost us the league. If you're splurging £60m on Alexis - you do it when the positions that are weakest have been filled. We needed a CB, we didn't buy one, we needed a DM, we didn't buy one, we needed four fullbacks, we bought three.

I don't expect him to stop playing for Belgium, but to play 90 minutes against Gibraltar in a game they won 9-0 is insane. He's the captain of this club and he owes it to the club, his teammates, and his manager, all of whom rely on him, to be sensible about this sort of thing and to not pick up preventable injuries. I'm not blaming him for being injured, but he should've never been out there.

It's ridiculous of him. Remember not so long ago Pelagrini had said he wasn't fit to play for Belgium and he went and got himself injured too.
Surely for fucks sake he can see that he's now a player that doesn't need to be taking these risks.
He needs to be loaned out to fkin Bristol Rovers if he ends up out long term because of this "knock".

If Vinny is indeed out, we're one injury/suspension away from having zero cover in defence other than Tosin and midfielders playing out of position. That, coupled with Sterling being missing for the next game which means if both Aguero and Jesus start we've also got zero cover upfront. It looks as though our squad weaknesses are on the verge of biting us in the arse already.

Can I blame Txiki for hinging the season on an injury prone 31 year old CB or is there someone else in the management team I should look to?

Our squad is too weak in key areas to win the title......again. The club has splashed the money on central defence but it hasn't worked out. Over 100 million and if Kompany is out we are all over the place. Both Keane and Muguire would have strengthened us but went elsewhere. Up front we are too lightweight, no bigger physical presence to mix it up and just Aguero and Jesus. Sterling and Sane are more wingers than centre forwards. I know we thought Sanchez was a done deal but there you go. It is what it is we are stuck with it I guess.
