Food Challenges

When I am deep into my workout and fitness routine. 1kg meat. Easy peasy.
I love to eat.

Why ? Clogging up your system. You've fallen for the meat lobby bullshit. You don't need meat to get fit, weight train or bulk up. Its bullshit.

If you were really into a fitness regime you would cut it out.

Nothing like that, I just get super hungry. I can eat and eat and never really get full.
Meat , vegies whatever. I just eat because I am hungry.
I thinks it quite natural, if I am not exercising my appetite goes back to normal.

I'll be honest i had to google that xD i had no idea Manchester had a kind of dish local to it. I just assumed we loved curry and stuff and associated with that.
I want to make one of these now, it sounds pretty damn nice.

I'm born and bred in Oldham so I grew up on them from my nan and now my mum, hence the username. The tradition has moved on slightly now too, slow cooked steak & ale inside instead of mince and you might have a heart attack but you'll die a happy man.

I always find less is more and would rather have a smaller portion of better quality than just loads of food - particularly meat.

To look at me you'd find that hard to accept though lol - the beer lets me down !!

I am not into these really but i just saw one on fb and it seemed weak. After the footy last night i made a 1kg burger as i often do (the whole 1000grm pack) and munched the bloody lot and a plate of wedges along with the half a red onion on it and 4 rashers of smoked bacon and 2 slices of smoked cheese. It certainly did not feel like a challenge.

The facebook one was 750grm fried chicken steak and a plate of fries, is it just me or would half the blokes on this forum tuck that away?

I recall a couple of all you can eat places shitting it when i returned and one school trip to Dieppe no other kids ate prawns from the shell so every night i had 30 bowls of fresh prawns to unshell and munch, the teachers almost gave me a standing ovation due to me not wasting what had been paid for months earlier.

Are you partial to the odd monster meal or can you barely look at a large plate of food?

Anyone done any food challenges and won or did you fail miserably like the failure you really are :-D ?

Have a ganders at a few of this fellas vids, seriously i dunno where he puts it, he is a small dude.

You weight 6 stone wet, where do you put it?

Adam from Man Vs. Food was in town recently doing a little tour of places, but there's not much footage online yet. Think he went to Northern Soul just off Market St, I could eat a shit tonne of their sandwiches.

I'm still on the no carb diet and this thread is making me hungry. However I can eat anything hot and haven't met a chillie that I couldn't eat, I think I have become desensitised to them over the years. Volume challenges I would never be able to do because I have never eaten huge amounts of food.

As my old mother would say. I'd rather feed her for a week, as a fortnight.

Where does she put it?

I also prefer Haddock with pickled onions too. You can't have fish and chips without them unless you're a ****. Obviously.

The only vinegar i use is left over pickle vinegar.

It doesn't repulse me as much if I'm honest but it's still gluttony and not clever.
What if it's a fat person with a medical condition , causing them to gain weight. If you don't know about this, do you automatically label them as gluttons ?
