I have a bad feeling that our form will dip after what happened with Mendy and Sergio. Remember last year before the Spurs game? We had 18pts out of 18 possible and then De Bruyne got injured and Spurs completely battered us. Plus Vinny is still injured. This is not looking good. I fear the worst but hope for the best.
 
Diaz is in the squad for Chelsea, said it was the one positive from what has happened to Aguero. We'll get to see if Diaz can play at this level, I think he'll fit in seamlessly. Obviously he's not likely to be involved at the weekend but could get minutes in the other upcoming league games and the Carabao Cup game.
 
Have faith... we are stronger, more acurate, and quicker.
Mendy is out, but either Delph or Danilo will come through for us.
Aguero will be missed, but probabky would on the bench anyway having played 80+ min both aginst Crystal n CL. SJS jesus never has 2 bad games in a row, and probably will score 1 or 2 golas :)

Anyone who are hoping or expecting Pep to play «safe» and deffensiv with 5 in back. «Not gona happend» pep belives «strong offens is best deffense», I think 3-5-2 40% or 4-3-3 60%. predicting 3-0 hoping and betting 4-0 (75.0 odds) putting £20. [emoji28][emoji120].

No way he plays both as I think he will want Bernardo on one of the wings who is capable of coming into midfield and offering good ball retention.

I feel for Sterling because he is bagging nearly every game yet may not even start.

He'll play both imo, what we have seen with Sterling is a huge improvement in playing through the middle and being virtually impossible to pick up with his late darts. All 3 across the top are interchangeable which makes us more dangerous!
 
Irrespective of tomorrow's result it's been an outstanding start.
Every team gets injuries but the squad is on paper the best in the prem.
Just because theirs 3 injuries it shouldn't mean negativity. Trust Pep

To be honest I would play both. Sterling and Sane are the form players. B Silva hasn't looked too great yet and I think tomorrow will be too fast a game for him. I would stick 4/3/3 with Delph in for Mendy and Jesus in for Aguero.

Obviously it's the toughest game of the season so far if not all season so it will be tough and I think we will miss Sergio. He has a good record there in recent years.

Would have loved to have seen Sane up against Cahill but Mendy being out kinda demands Sane start on the left.
 
Please - does anyone know of a pub in the Dewsbury area, possibly Wakefield or Leeds (South) that has: big tellies, BT Sport and is family friendly, for tomorrows match?

Took two fantastic goals from Chelsea mind, and we obviously have to be wary of their undeniable quality with the ball and on the break, but I would not be worried of the Chelsea who Arsenal stood firm against 2 weeks ago

I think it has been in Peps mind after the way he set us up perfectly agains Chelsea twice last year only to lose due to the tools he had available not quite being good enough to beat them this year HIS way
Would not be surprised is Gundogan starts and he goes to make a statement by slapping them around properly with the ball at our feet

Anyone else think he will not play Jesus tomorrow and have a false 9?
Pack the midfield to support the defence - they are going to attack our left side

Would like to see Gundogan start instead of Silva as David will likely start both matches for Spain and Gundogan hasn't been called up but I think Pep will start David.

Chelsea played in Spain on Wednesday, we played at home on Tuesday. They had the tougher game and had to come back to win in the last minute meaning they spent more energy both physically and mentally.

I'm particularly interested to see who Conte will start. Think he will go with Azpilicueta, Rudiger, and Christensen (hopefully Cahill instead). While Morata has played a lot and Hazard is just coming back from injury I think Conte will start them both given the magnitude of this match. Apparently Morata was seen limping off last match but Conte today confirmed he is fit and in contention to start.

I would take a draw but think we'll win 2-1. Our front 3 are very deadly and have all improved since the last time they started together. All 3 are eager to impress. They are interchangeable and the switching will cause Chelsea problems.

Can't wait for tomorrow.
