Napoli are a fucking good football team and anyone expecting us to win this easily will likely be in for a nasty surprise on Tuesday evening. I think we can outscore them but I'd be stunned if we can keep the ball out of our net for the full 90 minutes. I'm definitely nervous but I believe we can win this and if we do,the group is as good as ours.

I'd play the exact same team as yesterday with one possible change: I'd consider swapping Delph for Danilo. I think Danny offers more defensively and that will be crucial against Napoli, and a big help to Otamendi too. If Kompany is fit then possibly play him but I don't think he will be.

Now that Bernardo is firing we have five players who can bag us 15+ a season and that gives us an advantage over almost every team in the world, but if we are not on it defensively on Tuesday we'll be in trouble. I will predict a 4-2 win to City, and think Sterling will score.

Good win for Napoli on the weekend there a strong side and also we have been amazing lately so sets up a great game. Hope we can get the 3 points and sitting nice at the top of the table. Think Bernardo will start this game.

Napoli are a good side undoubtedly, they got some good individuals too. I think this will be like the Monaco game, and I thought we should have contained that more, so lets see if we can contain Napoli

They said we'd face a tough game v Dippers =5-0.(albiet against 10) They said Feyonoord hadn't lost at home for donkeys years and will be a acid test = 4-0. They said Watford away would be difficult with them being near top and that 3-3 draw with dippers was a warning = 6-0 They said Chelsea away was going to be the toughest game of season =1-0 (could easily of been 3 or 4) They said Stoke would come and shut up shop and it'll be a tough game = 7-2. So every time we've looked like we could of been up against it, we've basically smashed f*** out of the opposition! I'm not saying that Napoli is going to be easy, because it's not! But I have every faith in this team, that just keeps ripping up the script. I'm looking forward to this one very very much. CTIFD

Top post.

I had initially hoped Napoli would be in the same group as Liverpool. I would have liked to see a battle between both teams, who have a similar style imo. I'm not a fan of Klopp though, and even with a squad worth €100 million more in market value according to transfermarkt, i think Liverpool would get exposed against a side like Napoli. I think Napoli are smarter and more cunning than Liverpool, and have a better defense as well.

But barring an off-day for City, i don't think Napoli can win this. City has too much attacking force, and Napoli doesn't have someone like De Bruyne to dictate play.

He meant league game haha, insigne and mertens(who's a diving bastard) look very dangerous on the break, but as you say we should have to much for them

I follow Mertens as much as i can (he's from the same city i'm from) and while he can be a bit nasty at times, i would never call him a "diving bastard". Sure, he's only 1.69m tall and weighs maybe 60kg (if that), so he just goes down easily in physical duels, and he will claim a foul when that happens (what attacker wouldn't), but that doesn't mean he dives on purpose without contact. I've also never seen/heard him being described as such.

This will be an interesting game. Napoli might play a different style to other Italian teams, they won't be as adventures as some expect them to be. Nevertheless they are an upgrade to the teams we've played at home so far.
I expect a similar game to when we played Barcelona at home last year. Same result will do.

He goes down to easy imo and there was no contact at all v roma to win a free kick on the edge of the box, it's a part of the game I dislike but one you have to put up with with most European teams

Looking forward to this.

Pep said that he is going to make it clear to our lads that Napoli are dangerous, and that we need to be on our toes. Having said that I welcome Napoli playing us at our own game, although I myself have severe doubts that they are likely to try that. A parked bus and a cagey affair will be more likely imo.

It’ll be a great game if they do attack us, but I’m with you on this.
I think we’ll win either way though.

How's this looking attendance wise? Going to the game, can't wait. Hope It's a cracker of an atmosphere.

My guess is that it will be around 47K (which is what we got for Shakhtar plus 2K to account for more way fans).

Edit: a quick look at the seat planner suggests my 47K estimate could be too high. But maybe sales will pick up today?

There’s always a minor last day flush, especially when we are playing like we are. I think a win tonight is needed given our away leg in Napoli comes right before the Arsenal game so as little pressure on that as possible.

surely the same team as Saturday for this one?

Team selection will be interesting. Surely we will start rotating soon.

How you can you leave any of these players out the way they are all playing though? I was certain Fernandinho would be rested for Gundogan on Saturday. No point in trying to guess the team anymore ha!

Also I'm going for 4-2 with a crowd of 43,000

I'm sure Pep has a plan for tomorrow night and if it works we'll win. No idea how adept tactically Napoli are. Their defence is clearly pretty good though.
