This. Short memories. Captain, leader and more than able to cover.
Vinny is an ideal replacement for Stones and every bit as accomplished on the ball , he started with the club as a defensive midfielder so i have no idea why some have concerns about his distribution , he's also a leader (which Stones is not at the moment) , if and its a big "IF" VK keeps fit he will get sharper and perhaps it will be Stones sitting on the bench waiting for his opportunity when fit. We seem to forget VK was the best centre back in europe 2/3 seasons ago , injuries do not make players worse , they do not lose their ability and he has not in my opinion lost a yard of pace , the Vardy tackle was an action of a player making his comeback after 2 months out , if the referee can give him break by not sending him off , surely our own supporters can.

Vinny’s been booked something like 7 times in his last 12 City appearances, and almost all of them for bringing down opponents who’ve gotten away from him. I think he’s unquestionably lost both mobility and pace

Vinny either needs to behave and not get booked or he takes 2 in the next 2 games and takes the ban for hammers (or cup game?)we need him for rags and spurs games

Vinnie is as accomplished as Stones on the ball!? Come on! When pressed he has a tendency to play long. If the opposition sit off, then yeah he can play the short passing game, but Stones is on another level in possession. If Wagner knows what he's doing, he'll press us hard.

Kompany is just as good as Stones on the ball (Stones may have the slightest edge), but as a defender, Kompany is on a different planet and that's coming from someone who rates Stones highly.

David Wagner (Huddersfield) on City: "It's not about finding their weaknesses, it's how you can handle and manage their strengths, and we have found an idea and we have been working on this."

I wonder if that means kicking the shit out of us or parking the bus and hoping to nick one on the break

we will be fine the big game is against the scum on the 9th if we win that then it is a homeward straight 11/ 14 points clear who knows one game at a time lads

kompany's passing is below average-nowhere near Stones in that regard.

Mooy was

Mooy was sold to get some inward cash flow and because he is an average to good player no more. A shutdown of him is not required. If we turn up with good attitude this game will be won with comfortable ease. I predict a 4-2 with a couple of sloppy concessions.

I respectfully disagree. You predict we will concede 2 goals. We shutdown Mooy we don't concede at all. Mooy ranks first for The Terriers in goals and assists, chances created, successful passes, passes in opposition half and touches. I've no doubt we should win regardless, however we make our lives much easier by containing him. He has shown he can punish teams, just ask our neighbours.
