Everton 2017/18

So they wanted the dynamic Marco Silva from Watford and their backup plan is Sam Allardyce? It comes across like the board do not have a clue or at any rate have half arsed this process. It shows they have no long term plan at all even with the new investment. It all seems rather whimsical to me. I also do not get the feeling the Everton board is progressive in any sense. I can imagine them and the fa having secret handshakes and stuff at any rate :-D

Allardyce will try to force Rooney in i reckon showing them both up for being rusty antiquated old tat.

The best Everton can hope for with FFP is 7th. Big Sam is capable of getting them there.

So we'll have Moyes, Pardew & Allardyce all back in the Prem with Roy Hodgeson & next season we might have Neil Warnock. And who is to say whether someone will appoint Pulis for the relegation battle ?

How inspiring.
Yep the old merry go round continues to turn as always.

Yep the creaking merry go round continues to turn as always. Could only happen in the EPL.

Totally uninspiring managerial choice. They will end up like Aston Villa when they had a bit of cash to spend. It'll be wasted and no one will be happy except Liverpool fans and no one likes a happy Liverpool fan

Being reported in Portugal that they also tried and failed to get Paolo Fonseca from Shaktar and Rui Vitoria from Benfica, so it seems their number one goal was "someone Portuguese" then once they'd failed there they just gave up and went for the most unimaginative option they could think of

I texted my ERO last night that it would only get worse if BFS brought LFS with him. That appears to be the case, at which point I texted the lad and said that if LFS were at EFC it could only get better, it couldn't possible get worse. He suggested that they could get Stevie Starfish as one of the coaches to make it even worse. I told him that the new motto would be NIL SAMIS NISI FATIMUM!

It's not Allardici, it's Allardinho.

Confirms what most sensible football fans have known for years ( despite the sycophants in the media)..that Everton has been a badly-run club for decades. One look at the decaying (and dangerous) stadium tells you everything you need to know about that organisation and Bill Kenwright's lack of acumen. They conned their own fans they didn't need to invest properly because they were "the People's club." Everton are traditionally a big club but they have small-time owners.
