ahhh, didn't see that thread, sorry
No worries, just thought I would direct posters to it for the separate “City players are regularly being assaulted without consequence” discussion apart from the media coverage of it (or lack thereof in England).

This is from the BBC’s main news website in its article about George Weah having a real chance of becoming his country’s president

Mr Weah played for a string of football clubs, including AC Milan, Chelsea and Paris St-Germain, and is the only African footballer to have won Fifa World Player of the Year and the coveted Ballon D'Or, in 1995.

Whatever petty biases the sports department may have I would be surprised if that infected the main news gathering service which is genuinely one of the world’s finest. Yet something tells me there is a reason for the very glaring omission.

Anyway make up your own minds.

He only played for us 9 times but then again he only played 15 games for Chelsea.

Grade A t**t, but what do you expect from Robson.
Media forced to write none stories....peps rule is if you don't want city then no good to us. VVD obviously doesn't have confidence in his ability to take stones or nico place.......there is no other reason to go to Liverpool than being a first choice.
At 26 if your world class you don't play for a mid table team. Stones is 22. Frankly I am please we missed out. Their words not mine.

We are mentioned now, just been and looked.

Newcastle were negative against Manchester City but the Premier League is NOT embarrassing

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...wcastle-negative-league-NOT-embarrassing.html

In France, with Paris Saint-Germain dominating, a problem has developed. Rivals have rested players against the champions. They feel they can't possibly beat them, so they don't waste energy trying.

Hopefully that will never happen in England. If it does, the debate swirling around the Newcastle game will be a whisper in the wind by comparison.

Do the hacks not remember this has been going on for years, I was so certain I googled Mick McCarthy Wolves understrength team & hey presto.... Wolves received a 25k fine for rolling over for the Rags. What's interesting is the articles were previously disparaging against the coaches who picked the under strength teams but you could imagine now that we are the dominant team it will be how can they possibly play against this monster made from oil.

https://www.theguardian.com/football/2010/feb/18/mick-mcarthy-wolves-fine

However rules have since been changed to allow playing under strength teams http://www.bbc.com/sport/football/14166038
