because you can only register 4 nation trained HG players for the CL. If you register more, you have to register less foreign players. We already have Walker, Delph, Sterling and Stones, so we have no more room for nation trained HG players unless we sell a foreign player and don't replace them, and why would you give up a foreign spot to JFE?

Mangala also a great option for battles with big strong strikers. I just can't see how Evans improves us, he would just be another option.

I think he could do a job for us, but I'm not sure he suits to whole player for the long term thing he is near 30 and speed isn't his greatest asset the way we play he would struggle now to get back in a few years time no chance.

Also if the real target cannot be got until the summer why on earth if we need a stopgap can we not get somebody from somewhere on loan until the summer. Paying 30M and giving Evans a 3/4 year contract on big money would be very risky. The only thing I would say is that if Pep believes he can get him to do a job then who are we to disagree?

Mangala can do a decent enough back up job, with Komps with Stones and Ota as first choice. Need to give Tosin a few games too or how will he ever reach his potential.

Don't need Evans at all. Better use the money on Sanchez to rotate the attackers and score a few when Kun and Jesus have barren spells like at the moment. If we score one or two more of all the chances we create it wouldn't matter if we let a goal or two in.

I think its fair to say that the jury is defiantly still out on if Pardew as qualified to make judgements on anyone's ability to play for a top team.... and if that is indeed the case why is he 30 and with all due respect still playing for WBA
