The 1 thing to think of is the bigger picture, we will have already had a plan for our squad next summer so decided to sign a foreign centre back meaning no move for Alexis until the summer. It may mean we have to get rid of someone now so we can sign who we wanted plus Alexis or go back to the drawing board and sign Evans and Alexis.

We wanted Sanchez in the summer and offered what they asked. Now he’s possibly half the price and we’ve just lost one of our only two out and out strikers. Of course we are going to try again but we will be respectful whilst doing it .

I don't think they will panic and pay up over Jesus being out for a month, don't think today changes anything.

We still don’t know with Jesus.

If I recall I remember Pep saying Mendy would only be out for a bit and that turned out to be a season pretty much.

So let’s see, but hopefully it will only be a month or two as Pep has said.

Don't understand what all this debate about how much to pay, I know he will be on a free in the summer but shouldn't you buy a player on how much he is worth to you not how long his contract is. We could wait until summer but to get him now would help in the CL the FA cup and give more options in the prem.

I can see Arsene being awkward on purpose. They have Chelsea in the league on wednesday. And then in the League Cup the following week. He won`t let anything happen until these games are out of the way. It`ll be interesting to see if he`s played in the FA Cup.

What planet are some people living on thinking we will get him for £25 million? Firstly before the injuries the rumoured amount was almost double that and now add in Jesus' injury and Aguero and Sane's poor form. Arsenal can pretty much name their price. They showed in the summer they're not arsed about keeping hold of an unhappy player and letting him fuck off on a free in the summer. If we want him it's gonna be a ridiculous amount.
