What hadn't we done?

Sorry mate didn’t explain that very well. I meant we should have had a deal sorted with the arse for the start of the January window? I get that Soriano wants to fuck arsenal over but sometimes you can cut your nose of to spite your face? Sergio and gabby have been out of sorts by their standards recently anyway and it would have been a great fuck toy to the rest of the league that we were improving even further? Think it might have also get Leroy a foot up the arse as well as he seems to have turned slightly arrogant and petulant recently

We can only achieve that if both parties are willing. ATM, we don't know whether Wenger is willing to let go to a PL side

I think we would have to go over Wengers head on this one to the money men to enforce the whole better business sense to sell rather than lose for a fee! Lol managers don’t really give a fuck about the money when it comes to their best players but any good business executive does but I’m sure now it will be £35-40m

Wenger will think he still has a top 4 place to fight for (and maybe he has). The club will have to make the call on whether selling Sanchez in Jan would seriously jeopardise that position

Not long to find out though

That's the risk. They might think it is a price worth paying because another season out of the CL would be harmful to their player recruitment.

We still need a forward regardless of whether this happens or not. We can't rely on one. I remember a while back where we had the situation of that kid playing up front (can't even remember his name) and D Silva.

Going into the season with 2 strikers was risky. Going into the second half of the season with potentially as many as 33 games remaining would be madness.

A move looks very unlikely to me, even after what is hopefully a short term injury to Jesus. Aguero's situation suggests to me that we need to move for a more long-standing replacement, but that can wait until the Summer.

Happy Christmas and New Year to all blues. What a great year it has been, and what a great season it promises to be. Enjoy everyone.

Pozo

Arsenal and Wenger now hold the cards.

Unfortunately we will now have to pay over the odds if Arsenal and Wenger decided to sell Sanchez.

They can hold on to Sanchez for another 4 weeks, keeping him until, the transfer window again.

On the plus side, at least Serg knows he's a starter for the next 2-3 months.

So he best start scoring again.

Arsenal will want close to £50m because that’s how much roughly the Champions League will give them if they are in it next season, so if they do miss out then at least they have the money.

Give them 50m, we were prepared to pay it 6 months ago so pay it now, he will be amazing for us. If it was my money then id wait and get him for free in the summer but its the sheiks money and he's got a few quid so oay it.

Nice to see you posting again, Marv :-)

We really do need him now. With Sane on a bad run of form (he was terrible today), Jesus out injured and Sergio misfiring, we need to bring in at least one more forward.

Just heard on Arsenal commentary from Tyler that Wenger gave Sanchez two days off over Xmas and he decided to spend them in Paris...

Can't see it, but that feck Alves also turned tail at the final moment and was spotted in Paris before his move to them?
