Reports coming out an hour ago that City have prepared a 35 Million Bid. Looks like this is going to happen :) Fingers crossed

Isn't this the guy thy went for on deadline day?

You would hope they have been putting in the groundwork for this to happen over the last 4 months.
Yeah either lazy as fuck journalist or they're taking the piss?

If he didn't want to come in the summer (it was rumoured at one point they'd not actually put a bid in though) he'll not fancy it now.

Reports from?
Seems a bit high for an opening bid.
We haven't bid anything. This is how media works now. Somebody says peach, then someone else comes along, adds a pineapple to it and calls it a table. Fuckin shit show. Anyway to answer your question, this article from DailyMail - http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...ester-City-line-35m-Alexis-Sanchez-swoop.html suggests that Arsenal would consider offers of £35million for Sanchez. Nothing about a bid.

Ah,I see. Cheers.
But... any news even the sightliest positive, surely must be true? :)
Welcome Alexis! (now lock the thread)

Players of his calibre (even factoring in his recent form) do not come on the market too often one transfer window away from a free too often. If we have space in the squad it would make absolute sense from a playing and business sense.

The Telegraph said that we were closing in on the VVD deal. We didnt do it because the price was too high, I suppose. This may be the same. It would annoy me if he went to PSG in this window, though. They wouldnt so much as blink if Arse asked for 35 million and more.

I'd hazard a guess that Sanchez is faster than both, so where does that leave your 'lost a yard of pace'? Also wtf does 'lost a yard of pace mean'?

Why is signing the universally recognised world class Alexis Sanchez seen as a risk? Do you really believe City have lost the plot & are only chasing Sanchez to keep Pep company?

Can you seriously see no link between Alexis's downturn in form, & his contract situation?

If Sanchez was as bad a player as you think, why do you think Arsenal agreed to take £40m for younger contract rebel Ox, but refused to take £60m, for a faded superstar, who has declined beyond all usefulness & who was also a contract rebel, unless they signed his £95m replacement?

Can't you see why your stance has provoked derision & ridicule?
'Lost a yard of pace' means that in a unit of time, the player travels a yard less. Simple, as is my point the ageing effect which I think is apparent in Sanchez's game. Inability to beat a man one on one.

He's still a good player, but a club in our position can buy the very best. Sanchez is not. He's 29 and you can see the effects in his game which are not explained by motivation alone.

At 29 a player is probably at his peak.

I like you
There you go, mate.
