The current value of Lemar is €30m according to https://www.transfermarkt.es/thomas-lemar/profil/spieler/205562
Others paid 90 million for a fraud that only knows how to do dabs and cut their hair every 15 minutes.

I prefer to spend it in CM and DM.

Sanchez is a proven solution in the PL: assists, goals, recovery of the ball and creativity in the game. He can play as LW/RW/CF and does not suffer from injuries frequently. For 25 million, a bargain.

I agree it's definitely not worth breaking our transfer record for Lemar. Maybe for Weigl or someone like that. Sanchez for anything less than £35m would be a bargain.

90m just to alternate with Sane? That amount can be spent on a CB+DM, and we are golden.

IIRC, Lemar's valuation last summer was 30m. I think part of the current 90m asking price is the January transfer premium + the Coutinho transfer ripple. Assuming he's still in our radar next summer, he might be had for 50m which in today's prices is fair for someone of his caliber.

We won't have to worry about Kun whining about losing his place too.

I do agree though that a CB and a DM should still be priority.

If he does start tonight i'm not sure what sort of a performance to expect. He certainly wont want to risk any injury.

Hopefully he will play hard to knock Chelsea out. Arsenal make final and then he comes City, City will give him a medal secretly since he is cup tied !

Think last night demonstrated precisely why we need Sanchez. Really hope we can force a deal through this window rather than having to wait until summer.

I think we had a lot of chances in the first half and score a goal or two if Jesus or Aguero were on the field. Aguero can't play every minute obviously with Jesus injured. That's what I meant by that.
100% we need him mate as 1 fit striker for 4 comps doesn’t work just think a few were overreacting last night to a game we won comfortably with a second string back 6 bar Stones.

I really hope this take £20m or leave it story isn't true. We need him and what's an extra £5m? It's about getting a potentially world class player in at a crucial stage.

Agree, although I think we need a forward who is good in the air more but I'd take Sanchez in a heartbeat.

You heard any more?
@tolmie's hairdoo has gone quiet.

after winning the league in 2012, we didnt really push on with our transfers like we should have, we had the upper hand and i know we signed dinho whos been great, and negredo who did well for a season, but we also bought navas and demichellis!! ~they werent stellar signings!

It looks like we are going to win the league (touch wood) and this time id like us to buy better and really stamp our authority and keep one step ahead of the opposition.
most of the opposition and their fans are as low as they have probably ever been. We are demoralizing the league so lets keep strengthening the squad and keep buying top top players!! We cant make the same mistakes as last time. World Class Players like Sanchez dont come along every day so we have to get him in, let Pep worry about where to play him and how often!! We are challenging for 4 trophies every season now and we need a solid squad, not just a top class 11.

Happy for us to play the waiting game, even if it's done in the summer.

We're not in too bad shape as it is and there's something quite nice about the idea of arsenal throwing £60m away for 12 months of half arsed football.
