Alexis Sanchez

If Pep wans him now what would you pay? I would not want to pay more than £20m.
However I don't see him as vital for us and would rather look elsewhere for younger player
We already have Sané, Sterling, Jesus and Bernardo. That's four of our five strikers who are 23 or younger. Two older players won't hurt, and the extra experience could be great for squad balance.

I'm still pessimistic. I think Arsenal will f**k this up again. I said on September 1st that by January everyone would be saying how incompetent it was of them not to sell to us when they could and I think at the end of May everyone will be saying the same thing.

I couldn't give a @@@@ what we pay it's not me paying. If we paid 100m tomorrow I wouldn't give a toss I don't get why people are so bothered about what we pay.

Just for clarity I was just talking about the Bristol game Sterlings lack of movement and the need for Sanchez , so it's not to be confused with the Jonny Evans or any other defender we may be after.
The message I received although slightly cryptic was it's happening and it was happening as we speak

Hopefully mate I'd love to see him with us before trip to anfield but looks unlikely

Because it sends out wrong signals; why pay premium for players that doesnt require it? Just because we have money doesnt mean we should spend it unwisely .. think of Bony, Roque Santa Cruz etc

On paper Bony was worth that amount of money but he was utilised horribly and signed without much thought. Sanchez will definitely fit into our system.

Bony & RSC should never be spoken about in the same sentence as Alexis Sanchez. But again people worry about what others think I couldn't careless.

I too get the impression he is coming to fill in for sane and put him under pressure for his place, Sterling too.

He also gives us an option to replace kun if needed. I quite like that we have an interchangeable forward line, gives us flexibility.

But I do hope Sanchez stops moaning at his team m8s and telling them where to pass and run, it's a team game with city, its not just about Sanchez.

I don’t remember him moaning at Barca. This City team is a huge step up in quality, our team has 11 world class players, Arsenal have/had 2 (Alexis and Ozil). That’s where the frustration comes from, pishing into a stiff breeze over the past couple of seasons, he’s well pissed off.

Bottom line is he will know he has to bring his A-game to get a decent amount of game time, he’ll have plenty of respect for his team mates going forward.

11's a bit much! We have Ederson, Otamendi, Silva, De Bruyne and Aguero. Maybe Fernandinho.

You may well be right.
But let's not hang around while they dither.
We need to put together a package worth 50 large
Make the offer now - 30 to Arse and 20 to Sanchez as a signing on fee.
Could be the difference between winning and not winning the champions league.

i don' get the player and arsenal in this they ok the deal in the last transfer window only for time running out and arsenal messing around now the window been open 11 days and he is still a arsenal player that played last night does he really want to move and have arsenal got something on him maybe the lad is carrying a small long term injury that would not pass a medical but something stinks

i don't see the fee a problem and city not mess about with a couple of million here or there so its got to be arsenal and the player does he really want the move or is there a better offer in the summer at PSG with him being a free agent but i don't understand the waiting around by both parties for me city should just say today here is the final offer take it over leave it and if they stall look else where and even jesus could be back quicker than the reports say so arsenal you took the piss for the very last time

It isn't just that he's still an exceptional player in his own right, but also he's clearly got a winning mentality, looks driven and would provide the dressing room a bit of a kick (not that they necessarily need it but a fresh impetus) going into a busy and critical part of the season

Maybe a bit! My definitions are that Messi, Ronaldo and Neymar are “Out of this World” class, and that world class is what we have in virtually every position, I.e. how many of our starting 11 will be at the World Cup playing for the cream of nations?

There have been numerous pundits stating KW is the best RB in the world, surely that makes him world class ;-)

It was an official brief from the club, seemed absolutely adamant too.

I don't believe it was transfer posturing, they didn't need to say anything at all.

Really think it was/is as simple as City felt with five months left of his contract, they begrudge paying anything, knowing the player only wants us.

Things happen, Jesus injury happened, Pep maybe thinks we have gone off the boil a little since the original stance was shared.

The Jesus injury has meant Aguero and Sterling have to play almost every game if we are to put away chances. We do not have anyone at youth leve that can step up and having played the number of games we have already the burden is huge on them and on De Bruyne who has been our main creator of chances with Silva away on personal reasons.

The games do not let up and only get harder. If Aguero was to get injured our attacking options are limited and relatively inexperienced. Aguero has played a world cup final, Sane, Sterling, De Bruyne even have little experience in games of that level i.e major cup finals or even CL final.

Having Sanchez means we would have someone with significant experience and whilst the innocence of youth is exciting and can win things, if Jesus Sane and Sterling are having a poor game or let their heads drop having players like Silva, Aguero and Sanchez who have won and lost big games in big competitions will help drive the team.

If we were not where we are in the various competitions then i would say save Sanchez until the summer but I think the opportunity to win so many competitions is too good to worry about paying 25m/30m on an extra player who can play in several positions and could lift us.

We should go for Bellerin, he's very looks-driven ;)

Maybe, but England aren't the cream of nations as long as that idiot GS is in charge ;)

The question needs to be asked. If the only deal open was part exchange for 1 of Kun, Raza, GJ or Leroy would you still do it? If not this is a very short term signing as next year Sánchez will be spending more time on the bench than his ego will allow.

Not a chance, Aguero is as good as Sanchez now (if not better) and Sterling's not far off. Sané and Jesus will be better than him too.

Haha I bet you now he'll be 1 of the most used outfield players next season simply because he can play anywhere across the top.
