Alexis Sanchez

Plus if we fork out £35m for Sanchez now, every asking price for our summer targets probably goes up by £10m minimum.

Also, with the way Utd & PSG, now Barca, are paying absolutely ridiculous money for players, even clubs like City may have to do 'end of contract' deals with more players in the future, as the big transfers will cost us 3 or 4 times what a player is worth & use up the whole budget.

So we don't want to be a soft touch

Is this the same guy who was on CityWatch podcast this morning stating he only wants City?

It is mate and my gif was most definitely a piss take ;-)

Im supremely confident he will be a City player, hopefully this month and if not come the summer.

This is what I've been saying. City may be his first choice but if we don't bother then he might prioritise getting out.

The rumours on United's bid for Alexis are being spread by Di Marzio, who gets info from Mkhitaryan's agent Raiola. So I think there's a grain of truth in it.

Yep. Need to avoid going too far over Kev's fee unless it's going to cost us someone truly special, the fees those clubs have paid have already come back to bite them.

Seriously though, it's widely accepted round here that Cardenas is a good source re Sanchez so I don't think we should dismiss something we don't like out of hand.
Probably not, but if they want to pay out a fortune for a 29 year old player let them, they can afford to do it far less than we can and it will likely cost them far more than it will cost us.

I don't think there's much doubt now that United's interest in genuine, is there? It's just whether or not Sanchez would choose them ahead of City.

That thought had crossed my mind too - that he might be getting pissed off with how long it's dragging on, and while he clearly wants to join us it could be that he's now so desperate to get out of Arsenal that he will end up considering other moves if we don't get a move on.

Certainly won’t be the summer, I can guarantee that. It’s now or never.

Like you im very happy if he signs but given our position right now, i wont lose any sleep if he doesnt as we have done the business without him to date.

Still think this is done and we are just waiting on Arsenal pulling their finger out.

Even the foreign correspondents are exposed at times like this.

When it comes to money, only the agent and the missus knows.

It shows how few of these people know anybody, outside of being spoon-fed at press conferences.

Even Sky have attempted to cover their arses, reiterating the story is from SKY Italia and not them.

That's because they don't have a clue until it comes out in the wash.

Sad as it is, I would suggest people use their own common sense, rather than dial in to the washing machine of click-bait and educated guesses.

You don't have to be a journo to have one of them.

Which he won’t, unless of course we carry on fannying around over a few mil, but I expect us to get on with it at some point, hopefully soon!
