United is close to the economic agreement with Sanchez. Then it will be with Arsenal for January!

What the Fuck

This is sounding too much like the Alves transfer. City journalists reporting all transfer window that player only wants Pep, only for another club to come up with a ridiculous offer, followed by disbelief, rage and anger.

Not saying that Sanchez is going to the rags, but surely, you of all people should know that the transfer market is made of shifting landscapes. It's entirely possible that PSG are no longer interested.

Absolutely, which is why I posted only the agent and his missus will know the current state of play.

Info can become old in the same hour.

Yeah, for all we know this news about United's interest could be outdated and negotiations between us and Arsenal have progressed behind the scenes in the meantime

I've given up wondering what happens at Arsenal.

But if the stories are true, & Sanchez has turned down better clubs than Utd, in order to play for City, then he has a contract waiting for him at City, & is either a few weeks or a few months away from being able to sign it. Would be a bit stupid to sign for football reasons, for a club who may even sack their manager in May, instead of signing for City in May.

If the stories aren't true, & it's just that City have put a price on him & will go no further, & haven't promised him anything, then he is free to go elsewhere for more money, rather than wait & see, if that's what he prefers. Still would be better waiting til he is out of contract though.

It's not as straightforward as it seemed earlier. Glanced through Redcafe, and they have a few posters tweeting United are ahead in the chase.

The only way I can see Sanchez changing his mind is if they have offered him STUPID money. Like, 4-500k a week net.
Wouldn't put it past the rags, since that's basically Ed Woodward's MO. They were paying a 35 yr old Zlatan 350K /week a year ago. It's important ti understand that not all players are loyal. Most would switch sides or forget the allure the of trophies if they're getting 300K or 400K a week. I doubt we'll go that high.

That thought had crossed my mind too - that he might be getting pissed off with how long it's dragging on, and while he clearly wants to join us it could be that he's now so desperate to get out of Arsenal that he will end up considering other moves if we don't get a move on.
Is that more down to Arsenal and Wenger. Seeing as we offered 60m in the summer and Arsenal can get 25m + Micky terry ian (50m/60m depending on how they spin it), Then they get something equivalent to what we offered and get to screw us over too. Like people say though unless Arsenal pay for Alexis to go there by agreeing to pay his wages and the rags pay more on top (not sure if this is allowed), Alexis can say no let me go to City or I will wait til the summer. It also depends whether Alexis is pissed of with Wenger enough to go to the rags and would he still get his loyalty bonus going there.

Just a thought, maybe Arsenal are desperate to now sell and we know it.

If Sanchez is desperate to join us then maybe we have spoken with his agent to sit tight and we will come in for him in the last week of Jan.

The longer this goes on the more desperate Arsenal will become, If he has made it clear to Arsenal that he isn't going anywhere else then when we go in with a £20 million bid with days to go they have little option but to snap our hands off.

How many of our top targets have we actually missed out on? not many.
