How bloody annoying.

Fair enough that we have lost our unbeaten record, but to lose it at Klanfield is almost as annoying as losing it to the rags.

Poor performances and bad mistakes all over the pitch today. The passing was woeful and the defending was as bad.

A terrible clearance from Ederson for the fourth. Why the fuck didn’t he just leather it?

Never mind. Onwards and upwards. We’re still well clear at the top, but we must get back to winning ways next Saturday.

Hard to pick a MotM after that. Kevin maybe?

He was our best player by a country mile.

If the mickeys had played like they did today for the past 23 games they'd be 12 points clear.
As simple as that.
We used to be like that a few years ago.
A nice week off and then hopefully give it the barcodes next week.

They’d won the game and dropped their intensity. Took Salah and Can off and sat back. When the pressure was off with the game gone we kept going.

Admirable but what had happened in the half hour before then makes it half as good as it seems.
They worked hard but it was our errors that won game for them I accept that. Our attitude wasn’t poor though we didn’t quit.

Of the 4 teams playing in the Carabao Cup this week 3 of them lost and one drew at home when they were expected to win.

Those wanting strong teams for our FA Cup and Carabao Cup games I can understand but when you play your toughest opponent at their place when they've had 9 days to prepare, this is what you get.

I would have taken chances with our cup teams, not today. But as far as the league goes the result shouldn't matter in the grand scheme of things.

If it was a Liverpool player who was the end of the challenge (push) their fans would of screamed for it (and would of probably got the decision).

1 right 1 wrong. It was a foul but Stones should have done better
the error quota for the season caught up with us today:
Eddies positioning on the first
John weak and Danilo slow to clear on the second
Ota fucked up on the third, John was too passive challenging Mane
Eddie on the fourth

We really handed them the game but still showed heart in fighting back. Fair play to the dippers who pressed us better than any team this year and we made errors as a consequence. They took their chances well. My one concern is can we have the real John Stones back please. Thought there were some good performances; Kev, Sane never hid and caused them loads of trouble, Kyle played well. Fern ok, Eddie ok for the most part.

Dave looked pretty tired on the bench. God knows what the poor guy is going through. Onwards and upwards Blues, looking forward to the Etihad on Saturday.

That defending is as bad as anything we have done since the first half of last season. Also we were yards slower than usual in midfield & kept misplacing simple passes we could normally play without looking.
Fair play your defending was as bad if not worse than ours for a while there. Prior to that it was an open game that could have gone either way. I think we were quick to punish you for the errors defensively which perhaps magnifys the mistakes we had you on the ropes for a while like you had us on the ropes at the end quickly capitalising on our errors.

Definitely a foul for me.
I can't see how anyone is saying it wasn't how can you be strong against something you cannot see coming as it's right in your back? You can see by the way he stumbles straight after the contact what causes it, yet people want to look at Stones' feet and say he just tripped over himself or some other bollocks? Too eager to dig our players out some people.

The issue was we couldn’t play pass their intital press. They wasn’t particularly good at it, there was gaps everywhere but there was no out pass from either the wide players or gundogan in midfield.

Showed the importance of David Silva who is nearly always the man to break the press with his movement to free himself or turn a defender, gundogan simply couldn’t do that and after we passed along the back and through Fernandinho we couldn’t go anywhere else which resulted in us losing the ball so many times.

Definite push on stones for their goal, I was stood right behind it on the second row and the ref had a great view too. probably would have been given had he gone down that ultimately gave them the confidence and led to us collapsing. We can’t expect anything different from refs now though given their incompetence.

We’ve shown signs of having a game like that in recent weeks, we’ve been grinding results rather than winning games comfortably. Reinforcements are definitely needed, we had no alternative to sane, Sterling or aguero today who were all fairly anonymous.

Vital we move on and put on a show next week now to prove this was nothing but a blip. Let’s hope we got all of our mistakes out of us in one game.

The way I see it, Liverpool players all played out of their skins and were probably 9/10, whereas we had too many that had off days and we still nearly bagged a draw. Plenty there for me, Silva should have replaced Sterling a lot sooner, he was getting targeted from the off and didn't really get a kick.

Yes but at least one opposition goal should be created by an assist from the opposition, not a City player.
