Yeah, just seen that. Fair enough, although I still think it's a bit odd that you rarely comment when things are going well. I know many City have an in-built pessimism, and I include myself in that, but you seem to be inflicted more than most!
Bollocking accepted :-)

No, this is Twitter bullshit.

This is one if those, City have had a change of heart, put in a last minute counter offer.

Everyone get's their hopes up again, only to be even more disappointed, and the meltdown starts.

When in reality Sanchez will sign for United today or tomorrow as we haven't and won't change our stance.

Even if we did come with a better offer the rags will push it higher over and over again. That's what desperation does

There is no way we will offer £400k a week, we have a very good but wage structure, which has been a success since the takeover and is keeping all our top stars happy. There is no way we would offer someone 100k plus more than the next top earners , especially when we are in negotiations with a couple of them for renewal.

If nothing else, a counter offer will force the Rags to go higher. They won't lose out on Sachez now. Force their hand, and inflict more financial burden on them.

Yeah, and even if United aren't willing to go higher we just tell Sanchez we've changed our minds.

U*d came in and moved the goalposts after we'd agreed everything with Sanchez seemingly, so Sanchez agent says U*d are offering this are you going to better it.
Nah your alright.

I stand by our decision.

I agree - it would create disharmony within the squad. One thing a few of us were discussing yesterday though was how about we cover the shortfall by offering him a bigger signing-on fee rather than an increase in his salary?

Not a chance we would match that package or even better it. I’d rather just take Pep’s stance now and go for a younger target he can mould into a better player

well, maybe a k or 2 (maybe)
Depends on what size bet you make initially.

I haven't checked the market for this transfer, or even if their is one. But I'd assume there's multiple millions in there for play.

If you can bet on transfers they should be regulated. Only official statements

Manchester City is Sanchez's preferred option but United's willingness to meet the financial demands of both the player and his club have made them favourites to complete a deal.

City boss Pep Guardiola is keen to sign a player he worked with at Barcelona and it is not completely out of the question City could come back with another offer and turn the situation on its head again.

£400K a week for a 29-year-old? Thankfully someone at the club is doing the job their paid to do! That's a seriously crazy amount of money when the signing fee is factored in as well for him especially at his age if true.
