^^this.i personally think that sanchez is the one holding this up as he still wants city but his agent wants the money? unfortunately a lot of south american players feel loyalty to the agent as when the player was starting out the agent took a chance on them and get them the contracts and better moves etc? this time round i geniunely think that sanchez is still trying to sort a move to us out
If it's all been about money and playing one side off against the other I can't see us going back for him.^^this.
Does make you wonder why he hasn't already signed for them, it's pretty obvious he's not keen on the idea yet the money on offer may swing him. Wouldn't surprise me if he doesn't go anywhere by weekend he'll sign for us on transfer deadline day, this will help arsenal as they will state they didn't have enough time to sign a replacement again
He knows what our offer is, we've baulked at his demands I'm assuming our offer still stands. If it's all been about money and playing one side off against the other I can't see us going back for him.
Maybe. I thought we had withdrawn, according to the statement the journos were briefed. He knows what our offer is, we've baulked at his demands I'm assuming our offer still stands.

We have left our offer on the table for Sanchez. Whatever happens in this saga, we come out of it good.He knows what our offer is, we've baulked at his demands I'm assuming our offer still stands.
All well and good yet 6 months ago we were offering 60m and the same wages. And I agree on Griezmann.Griezmann is 26 and has some resale value at the end of any contract, Sanchez doesn’t. I’ve seen this fact posted several times in this thread over the last few days. Why aren’t you getting it? I don’t think we will sign Griezmann neither imo.
Edit - @SWP's back has posted the same. So that’s twice in a few minutes.
Could be a couple of things. One scenario, which I’m starting to think might be realistic is that the agent has come back and said “Well you were prepared to pay x, y & z in the summer so that’s a total cost of £100m over the 4 years. We still want £100m but the fee’s gone down so the wages have to go up”.What I find hard to understand is that if we had a deal accepted by Sanchez & it was only Arsenal standing in the way of a deal, what's changed now, apart from different negotiating stances from Arsenal & City because we're 6 months further down the line & Sanchez only has 6 months left on his contract?
What could possibly have changed in the meantime between City & Sanchez? If something has changed, common sense says it must either be us offering less favourable terms than last summer, or Sanchez wanting more favourable terms...
According to the papers? OK.All well and good yet 6 months ago we were offering 60m and the same wages. And I agree on Griezmann.
Is @robbieh his agent? ;)Could be a couple of things. That might explain a lot.

But were we offering the same wages as he's apparently demanding now? See above - I suspect we were offering a figure that we were happy with at that point but he's upped the ante. All well and good yet 6 months ago we were offering 60m and the same wages. And I agree on Griezmann.
See what you mean - end our pursuit "if the financial demands remain at current levels".I think we've left the door open for him.
