From what I’ve seen of Maffeo he should help in this regard next year. He’s very quick and aggressive much like Walker.His versatility as a fullback and winger is a positive. Sterling and Sane can’t play 60 games a season and without them we sometimes lack width and pace to get in behind teams. Obviously Mendy mitigates that somewhat when he’s back to fitness.

I'd have to think there is a reason Conte hasn't used him in the left wing back role at times this season considering he's tried Moses and Zappacosta there and the lad has been sitting in the stands, as he didn't get a loan. I'd say Costa was a personality thing, you do not cross Conte. As for Luiz he was 30m and Christensen has been better in the centre of the back 3 this season. I wouldn’t mind that at all, Danilo has looked ok but I’m not overly impressed so far but he’s not had too many chances and the ones he has have mainly been out of position (LB & DM).

I haven't heard anyone mention him or if they would sell, but West Ham's left back, Arthur Makuaku, could be worth a punt. At times he looks ridiculously skillful and not scared to put a shift in. Pep's kind of player?
