Great signing if this gets done......after last time, I'm trying not to get too excited until its official but clearly Pep has wanted this guy since he arrived and even after his major injury 12-18months ago, we were still willing to sign him.....think it shows just how much Pep wants this lad to go back in for him now. I think we could argue, this signing was needed more than the Sanchez signing and means we dont have to waste another summer trying to find a replacement for Mangala/Kompany. Lets hope Fred is not far behind....

He was one of the best players in the CL group stages & probably one of our trop three players before his injury. Just a complete brick wall all-around.

But 4 errors in 5 games is just shocking for any defender, let alone a defender in a team that’s competing on all fronts. Still has a couple of games to clean it up before big matches arive, here’s hoping we get first half of the season Stones back.

His errors are getting punished at the moment, that’s in part down to bad luck. We call that the ‘Savic Effect’ in Manchester
