FA Cup Games 27/28 Jan & 6/7 Feb replays

Two ways of looking at it.
A. If they can't beat Newport (still think they'll win, actually), how will they beat the vermin?
B. They're getting their bad performance out of the way now.
C. This is indicative of their general level after selling one of the players that made them tick and not adding any real talent to their squad last summer.
D. This is actually the relative calm before the mass exodus this coming summer.

The ball Newport scored from, is the bread & butter rags' far post cross that Ashley Young etc will try to play whenever they get a chance.

If they defend it like that, they are fucked. School playground standard defending.

The morons who claimed Trippier was as good as Walker should have a look at themselves. I wonder if Glen was one.

Potch is like Klopp.

Loved by the media and fans no doubt but when it comes to actually getting the job done, is often found wanting i'm afraid.

He will walk as soon as someone big comes sniffing and Kane and Ali will also want the big numbers that Levy will be having nightmares about and will also be away at the first opportunity as Spurs look to recoup the cost of the new stadium.

Past those there really isnt much left at Spurs is there?

I can't see their big players staying for the money they are on and lack of success,i suppose a cup might launch them like it did for us though

They might do one more season in their new ground considering it will look epic and possibly give all a lift but they are unlikely to stay much longer.

Real will be all over Kane this summer I imagine.

He will force them to stay for a season, to get the fans in for the new ground.

Tbf to Spurs, this game is ten times harder than the game the rags played last night & the way that shower played, Newport would have fucking tonked them.

It does all make you wonder where Spurs go next though. Surely they have to pay top 4 wages & improve the squad.

Ha, Spurs pay top 4 wages. The players will all end up sold to the highest bidder before Levy sees that happen.

It's one thing telling the world you are a big club and its another acting like one.

To be fair with the stadium and the location everything is in place for them to mount a serious challenge but as you say, they are going to have to pay the right money whilst paying for the stadium.

Ive little doubt that barr Arsenal though their matchday revenues will be huge as they fleece their fans for every penny they have.

I don't see how they can carry on without it.

Ok, after a season at Wembley, the new ground will likely be a huge boost to them, so they could have a strongish season. But it can't be sustained & their fans are some of the whingyest.

They'll sell the best players they have and attempt to replace them with scattergun purchases on low wages from the Eredivisie, Bundesliga, Championship etc along with youth products. Again. Started already with Walker last summer. Aurier is a talent but no top club would touch him because he's a complete ****.

In this era though, the rags quite possibly are going to go spending crazy like they did at the start of the Prem. When Ferguson initially did that, we were right next to them.

A few years later an irreperable gap had opened, purely down to money & if not for the Sheikh, we would never have bridged that gap even in 100 years.

If Spurs don't keep pace now, they could slip behind forever.

Good.
